Dr. Franco M Recchia, MD

I had minor surgery for a macular pucker done by Dr. Recchia. The procedure is purported to be minor. When the bandage was removed the following day, I had a permanent dark gray horizontal blind spot across the middle of my field of vision. I didn't receive any attention or explanation from him or any staff as to what had gone wrong. The blind spot is permanent and very distressing and diminishes the quality of my life.

Dr. Recchia is an amazing Retina Specialist. I have CRVO and he was able to restore my vision. His calm and warm approach gives his patients confidence in his skills. I highly recommend him.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Recchia for about 11 years now and he is the most amazing, caring doctor we've ever seen. I would recommend him to anyone needing a good retina doctor. We are blessed because of him....my daughter still has her sight.

Dr. Recchia is obviously very knowledgeable about diseases of the eye and their treatment. He is very polite and easy to talk to, and he does not make you feel like he is in a hurry to get to the next patient. I can't think of anything negative about my visit with him.

I have been seeing Dr. Recchia for a few years now, mainly at the Murfreesboro location. He is soft spoken, very courteous and really seems to "know his stuff." I would definitely recommend him highly.

Because of this doctor's amazing talents, my 83 year old mother was able to read a book a day in spite of her wet Macular Degeneration. Up to her dying day, she had much better eyesight than I have.Dr. Recchia changed her life by helping her see. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a miracle.

I recently had cataract surgery (which was successful) at the Vandy Eye Inst. and started having a vision problem approx one month later. I called the Institute was told to immediately come down for an exam. When my Surgeon saw my eye she immediately had Dr. Recchia come over and exam me. My Retina was torn. I was in the OR at 6 AM the next morning and had a very difficult Retina surgery performed. Seems that this problem is genetic and runs in my family.Every 2 days the Drs. saw me like clock work making sure I was okay. They even saw me on Christmas Day and New Years Day. I call that above and beyond the call of duty. Their dedication,care for my well being and utmost dedication to my health was phenomenal.
