Dr. Frank Mark Basich, MD

Dr. Basich seemed very competent and was personable. My afternoon appointment was on time and their process seemed very streamlined. I was there for both a complete eye exam and a new eye prescription. But .... I was told by the front office, incorrectly but with absolute certainty that our insurance did not cover the refractor test and that I needed to pay that cost out-of-pocket. I knew this was wrong because I had verified with my insurance prior to the visit that they did cover the refractor exam. When I checked out of the office, I went ahead and just paid the $50 to get my prescription, rather than "create a scene" and then later have had to spend the time calling the insurance company to have claim forms sent out to me. And so, the person in the front office either told me falsely that she had checked with my insurance or, there is an office policy to go ahead and charge for the refractor test part of things, rather than spending the time communicating with insurance… companies. Either one of those things is not okay with me. The same thing happened with my wife (same insurance) except that they still have her prescription because she didn't want to pay the $50. Additionally, I wrote a letter about this to Dr. Basich twelve days ago, marked personal, and never received a response. If I ever hear back from this company, I will update this review.

Superb education and experience, excellent results, very agreeable to work with, a warm personality.
