Dr. Frank Randall Berenson, MD

Dr. Berenson was very nice, attentive, and a good listener. He took his time to review my son's case history and to ask questions of both me and my son. He was very helpful, and I am glad I was not deterred by the few negative reviews. I definitely recommend him.

As someone who has struggled with migraines for now, 17 years, it is easy to want to give up. After going through many medications, treatments, even the newest “breakthrough migraine injections” with not much luck. He continues to encourage me, tell me there is so many more options and we’re not done yet. He is nothing short of kind, attentive, very intelligent and a great physician. I would recommend Dr. Frank Berenson to anyone.

Love love love this man! Fabulous bedside manner, down to earth, warm and caring! Made a scary appointment comfortable and fun!

Would give him zero stars if I could. He started out friendly, but then became very hands on and in my personal space. He started to turn appointments into personal questioning instead of medical. He hugged me for 10 seconds on two appointments (out of probably the 4 times I saw him) and squeezed my shoulder for long amounts of time, multiple times telling me how proud he was of me on those same appointments. He talked right over my mom and I when we had questions for him, and was very arrogant about everything. I will not be going back, and I wish I had read his awful reviews before I went to him.

Dr. Berenson is very arrogant, rude and stubborn. He has no empathy towards his patients. See him at your risk.

Dr Berenson is arrogant and has no empathy for his pediatric patients. He treats them like their concerns about having epilepsy are ridiculous! We won't go back to him, there are lots of good pediatric neurologists than to waste our time with him.

I was a patient of Dr. Berenson for about a year He.made extremely careless mistakes. For example, I was supposed to be receiving occipital nerve blocks and trigger point injections, but the nurse came in with Botox and said that was on the order, even though we had never discussed it. Dr. Berenson also put me on 70mg of Prednisone (at age 16) and then did not wean me at all, which led to horrible ear infections, nose bleeds, trouble breathing, joint and muscle pain/stiffness that lasted months.

Will not give until he can find something to help with Migraines

Not particularly forthcoming or timely with information in critical situations. Does not have facilities to accommodate parents and little children in exam rooms. Shockingly filthy room for EEG's....dirt visible on floor and elsewhere throughout exam area.

Dr. Berenson is a super kind physician. He really guided us and calmed us down when we concerned about tics. I highly recommended.
