Dr. Frank Yi Chen, MD

We were introduced to Dr. Chen when we had taken our daughter to intake procedure at Houston Behavior Hospital. He was there on round and helped us right at intake. His diagnosis, his mannerisms, his understanding of our daughter’s problem and what he needs to do to take care of her psychiatric issues were very impressive! His conversation was able to calm our daughter and reassure her that she can be taken care and come out of her psychiatric problem His mannerism and knowledge of the patient’s need and how he dealt with our daughter’s problem helped both of us as well. He even walked up to us during her stay at the hospital during our visits to see our daughter and again informed us with his treatment and approach he is taking with various medications to help her. We highly recommend his services to any one who wants to get well

My family member was a patient for several years and he overmedicated her and his office staff, especially Linda, was horrible.

Relies too much on his nurses, who do not have adequate knowledge of what they are doing, what they are prescribing, and what advice they are giving. I was told that it was ok for me to consume alcohol while I was prescribed heavy antipsychotics, which is possibly life threatening. I was also prescribed medications which were not used to treat any of the symptoms I was having. For example, I was prescribed a highly addictive benzodiazepene even though I was not having any feelings of anxiety. My charts were also fudged to death and I could press charges any time I wanted. I chose to move on and find a new practice.
