Dr. Francis John Dimotta, MD

Please don't waste your time and money even going to this place. If I could give negative stars, I would. The office staff is incredibly rude, uncaring and unprofessional. Half the time they won't even look up from their cell phone while you're talking to them. His nurse can't even take an accurate pulse, and Dr. Dimotta will conduct an entire appoinment from across the exam room, without even examining you at all. This place is a complete waste of time and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Dr Dimotta is old....so what? So am I. And he can identify with my issues. I'm not sure about his 'bed side manner' since I've not had him at my bed side but I'm statisfied with him. I have to agree that his front office staff are not at all personable but I guess they get the job done. One thing I like is when I call in to have a prescription renewed, they get it to him and in less than a week, I have it (mail order pharmacy.)

I went in for a check up with Dr. Dimotta after getting released from the hospital for some serious injuries. After I explained to him what had happened to me and why I was there to visit him, he laughed at me! He inquired what happened and laughed some more, he thought it was funny that I was assaulted and that resulted in my hospitalization. I had been a patient of Dr. Dimotta for quite some time and I will NEVER ask for his medical advice again. Can I give a rating of negative five stars?

I was a patient for about 8-10 years. Not out of choice but because there are few Drs to choose from. First, he diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis without even a blood test. When I told him that my bones hurt he assured me "bones can't hurt" and that I was imaging it. I moved to Texas for the medical quality and finally got some answers. Going for several years(in Ruidoso) without proper care undoubtedly made my condition worse. I have osteoarthritis which is so severe I am bed-ridden. As others mentioned he talks down to patients, especially to women. Choose another doctor please. I could go on .......

Called at 9 in morning on Friday. Told girl I either needed a refill on prescription or need to see the Doctor. My UTI had not cleared up. She said she would call me back after she talked with the Dr. By 11:30 when I had not heard back I called again. She was very rude and said I would be called back. She failed to tell me they closed at noon. I ended up having to go to the emergency room.

Very rude girls at the front desk. And the good doctor talks down to you. Nobody wants to work with you to find affordable medication when you pay out of pocket..

Dr. Dimotta is a professional medical doctor and who, upon my move to Ruidoso, saved my life-quite literally. The Lord blesses us all. The Lord blessed Dr. Dimotta with equal healing hands and carries such a mind to heal medicinally and therapeautically. Ruidoso is a beautiful town, Dr. Dimotta's office has its reputation through years of practice and containing a personable view towards patients. I cannot thank the practice enough for restoring my confidence and perception in medicine.

I was impressed with Dr. Dimotta. His staff was very friendly and he is a good conversationalist and physician. His staff also accommodated a last minute change of appointment for me with perfection.
