Dr Frank Fazzolari, MD

I saw this doctor last year for persistent nausea and was also (possibly mis-) diagnosed with ulcerative colitis due to abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. He is a poor communicator and not very forthcoming. I had to ask the same questions multiple times and drive the conversations. When he called me at work to let me know the CT showed ulcerative colitis, he didn’t suggest any medications to treat my sx even though he knew I was in a lot of pain. His staff was also not very kind of accommodating. I couldn’t get appointments with him (or his colleagues) when I had urgent sx like rectal bleeding. I also had to follow up with them about a medication that required prior auth. A little over a year later, my fabulous new GI doc thinks my UC may be intermittent based on recent test results and sx. Receiving news that a chronic illness may have returned is never good, but the difference between her and Faz is night and day. Unlike Faz, she answers my questions the first time they are asked… and is thorough in her explanations about my treatment. The answer to the question of “do I want this doctor treating my (suspected) chronic illness?” was not a confident yes for him but I stayed with him as was in a lot of pain. I cannot recommend him and would strongly suggest finding a GI doc outside of pamf who is thorough, answers questions the first time they are asked, and makes you feel confident in your care.

I appriciate Dr. Fazzolari's very timely response and dedication to patients' care.

Wish all doctors would be so personable and helpful at all kinds of hours to deliver test results to a patient.

Dr. Fazzolari is very sensitive to patient concerns and goes out of his way to mention risks and clarify his findings. I did wait for him, but he was giving enough time to others, and I respect that commitment to communication.

after waiting 6 weeks for a procedure, the week before the exam, I am told the dr. needs to reschedule because "he forgot he has a dr. appt"...so I am told when I can be seen again - I can't make the date and I tell them to cancel the appt. - I would seek a referral elsewhere - after the 4th phone call that day, I asked the office not to contact me again - the next day, the office staff and the DOCTOR call me up until 8:30pm wanting me to reschedule. if the dr. feels his appt is more important than my 6 week old appointment then I don't want him as a doctor. I finally had to get his director involved to cease the harassing calls.
