Dr. Frank Willy Lehninger, MD

Dr. Lehninger is a fantastic doctor. My preteen daughter saw him multiple times at David Lawerence. He is very caring, kind and put her at ease. He spent time getting to know her & counseling her, & explained alternative diagnoses & treatments to me. My only complaints are about the D.L. center itself - their time wasting "registration" process, difficulty scheduling visits with the doctor only, very inefficient scheduling. The nurse practitioners see the patients for follow-ups but if any plan other than refilling the same medication is needed, a return trip to the doctor (scheduled months in advance) is needed. For kids with ADHD , especially in the beginning of treatment, or if depression/anxiety are issues, treatment modification is often necessary at follow-up. It won't happen at D.L. until months after it was needed. Dr. Lehninger is a fantastic MD but David Lawerence is a disappointment. I'm hoping that Dr. L. eventually leaves that institution.

This is a psychiatrist who cares deeply about his patients. Not only is he a wonderful doctor, but he is also a special person as well. He is well trained, comes from great schools, has a discerning understanding of problems patients face, and tries to diagnose what is best for patients and then let them go when it's time. He is overall, a 5/5 for everything and if you are lucky enough to be a patient, you will probably get better under his guidance.

As a paid contract psychiatrist FOR the school district, falsified medical records of the child for the benefit of the school district. Failed to follow up on his recommendations for additional testing and treatment to ensure the patient received the prescribed testing and treatment and refused to communicate with parents or patient after first agreeing to do so. Provided false testimony during court proceeding.
