Frank Ming-Shi Liu, MD

I saw Dr. Liu for over 10 years while living in NYC. He was a joy to visit and always took time to answer all my of questions. He is a caring and exceptional doctor.

He, listen to us, explain things simple clear explanation, don’t let us leaving without a medical plan….Wonderful,WONDERFUL.

I am fighting to save my kidneys and he is involved too.

Went for a second opinion. He Spent time with me reviewing my past medical records and current concerns unlike the other nephrologist. After appropriate tests his diagnosis contradicted the first MD who wanted to put me on antiquated drugs which he felt were not necessary. He put my mind at ease.

Dr. Liu really wants Gene to excel. He is there for Gene at all times. We r so lucky that he is our nephrologist. He has a handle on everything involved with Gene. We know his time is precious but Gene seems to be most important to him. Gene is so special to Dr Liu and his input into Gene ‘s care is always 100%. We were the lucky ones to have him as our nephrologist!??

Totally in control. Did home hemo over 3 years under his supervision. Now sees me after the transplant. Had an incredible referral network . Always spends the necessary time to make sure the patient understands fully what the options are and which are the best.

Dr. Liu is always on time, demonstrates a strong knowledge of PKD and is practical in his approach.

Dr Liu is very good. He was not familiar with cardiac amyloidosis, but I suspect he will be researching any impact on kidneys.
