Dr. Fred H Brecheen JR., OD

A lifelong Texas resident, Dr. Brecheen went to Forest Grove, OR, to earn his Doctorate of Optometry With Distinction, from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1990. He returned to Texas to begin his optometric career, providing primary care to Dallas County residents. While there, he continued his education and completed the University of Houston's Concentrated Ocular Therapeutics and Glaucoma Specialist Courses. He is continuing his education through the Optometric Extension Program Foundation and College of Optometrists in Vision Development. He is an associate member of both of these groups as well as the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Dallas County Optometric Society, and the North East Texas Optometric Society.Dr. Brecheen purchased the practice from Kenneth Lane, O.D. in July, 2011, after having been an associate. The practice has offered Vision Therapy for over 30 years for those with reading disorders, visually related learning …disorders, strabismus, amblyopia, general binocular dysfunctions, and problems with depth perception. Dr. Brecheen is passionate about continuing and building this area of the practice.Dr. Brecheen has been married to his bride of over 30 years, Linda Brecheen. Together they have raised three daughters, all of whom are now educators in the State of Texas. All members of the family are lifelong learners and are committed to the advancement of education in your family as well.
