Dr. Fred Arthur Sweet, MD

Nothing Sweet about this Dr. needs to change his name to Dr. Sour. Got the run around from Rockford Spine Center for two years. They like to bounce you back and forth to their pain clinic for injections. If your in pain, I’d avoid this place.

Dr. Sweet fixed my back in less than 2 hours; repairing damage I did to my back with many years of hard physical labor. I feel the best I have in years. I highly recommend Dr. Sweet, a phenomenal surgeon and a very likeable person.

I had a back fusion surgery and I had great results after. I was in the hospital for a short time and my recovery time was short and I feel like I can walk and resume my daily activities without the pain I had before surgery. I would recommend Dr. Sweet to anyone who needs back surgery.

Last summer, I had 2 spine fusions done. It's quite unfortunate that just a week after the second surgery, I had to go in for Dr Sweet to remove a hematoma that formed and causing severe pain. Not all surgeries have less than ideal outcomes. I spent 3 week at a physical therapy hospital as they prepared me to go home with the most independence as possible. Dr Sweet was able to get me admitted to the very popular facility. I still need another back surgery, and honestly my family/friends question why I'm sticking with Dr Sweet. I'll tell you why, he didn't cause the previous problem, I'm quite comfortable with his knowledge. He's a Godly man who prays with you before surgery. He takes time to listen to me, provides an excellent bedside manner, treats the nursing staff with respect (not something all drs will do, especially if they have a God complex). Just a sidenote, I've worked for years as a nurse so I know how Dr's can be. I truly recommend Dr Sweet and his amazing office… staff!!!

I went to Dr. Sweet in bad shape and intense pain. Had cervical spine surgery Nov. 2018 and cervical spine surgery Feb. 2019. I am now walking without a walker. Dr. Sweet gave me my quality of life back. I will be forever grateful for what he did for me. His staff is also amazing. I would recommend 100%.

Finding Dr. Sweet was a blessing to me. The office was able to get me seen in a timely matter. Dr Sweet. and his office was very compassionate towards my back pain. I did have to call several times while waiting for my surgery date. Each time I was given great care and suggestions to help ease my pain. Waking up from surgery was wonderful. The continuous nerve pain was totally gone. I found him to be kind and caring to my discomfort. I would recommend his office to anyone.

Dr. suite performed surgery on my lower back and now my sciatic pain is completely gone. I also appreciated him praying with me prior to the surgery.

Thanks so much to Dr. Sweet and his staff. I have been pain free since my spine surgery. His nurse Jamie is great and so supportive. I always felt I was in good hands.

For 3 1/2 months I was in serious pain down my left side of my neck, shoulder, and arm. I finally got to meet Dr. Sweet at Rockford Spine Center and he said I needed surgery for 2 bulging disks that were pinching a nerve in my neck. I had the surgery on Oct. 23rd, which took between 1-2 hours, and when I woke up the pain was gone. Dr. Sweet and his team were very nice and professional and alleviated my fears before surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Sweet and the Rockford Spine Center. Thanks a million, Dr. Sweet!
