Dr. Freda Joy Bowman

Dr. Bowman is like a Jekyll and Hyde type doctor. She will turn on you for no reason and has no skills in helping patients with issues after they deliver their babies. I had post partum depression after my first son was born and I cried when I was telling the nurse how I felt. Dr. Bowman told me to get over it. Not exactly the comment you want or need to hear after having a screaming baby and not sleeping for two months! I would not recommend her to anyone!

This doctor is horrific!! She called repeatedly yelling at me saying i need to stop my thyroid medicine or else she will not see me. She also refused to tell me the side-effects and what to expect the first few months on birth control. Instead, she blamed the side effects on my thyroid and then fired me as a patient. DO NOT GO TO HER! She is very unprofessional.

Dr. Bowman performed a biopsy in her office with no pain medication. She seemed to think that involuntary screaming was an okay reaction and went ahead in spite of it. Other physicians have told me that this procedure ought to have been performed under a local at the minimum. And, then she charged me $25 for my records (14 pieces of paper). I'd never recommend her to anyone for any reason.

I have always lliked the personal attention that she gives you. And will answer any questions you may have.

What a nasty doctor, was very rude. At one point in the exam she wanted to see if my baby was even viable?! Then proceded to tell me that I wasn't showing yet and that I was fat. Very impersonable, would neverl et someone like this deliver my baby!

I've been a patient of Dr. Freda Bowman for three years. During each visit, I gain more and more confidence in her abilities. She is very skilled at her job and she has an excellent bedside manner. I have referred my sister, sister-in-law and my friends to her. They feel the same way about her abilities as I.

This is one doctor who is NOT above doing what she could easily delegate to her office staff. She has PERSONALLY called me at home or on my cell to give me test results. She has PERSONALLY verified what my insurance will and will not cover before we scheduled certain procedures. I have NEVER had to wait more than five minutes in the waiting room, only to have to wait for a half hour in an examining room. And then above all, during my appointments, she gives me her full attention. She has never seemed to be overbooked with appointments and I suspect this is intentional on her part. The personal care and attention she provides is excellent!

Dr. Bowman has been my obgyn for almost ten years. She found precancer cells and she did my hysterectomy. She has always spend as much time as needed to answer my questions, tell me what she was doing and what I needed to do. She is a loving and kind physician who is there for her patients. I recommended her to my daughter, who now uses her and to all my friends and family.
