Dr. Frederick Samuel Clare, MD

We had a really terrible experience with this doctor. My wife went for the Annual GYN Exam (Physical), so when my wife said she came for a her "Physical", the doctor laughed at us for using that word. He thinks it is a word that people from former British colonies use! WTH! He spent maybe 10 mins examining my wife, all the while singing a song. Didn't really listen to the patient about her concerns. Didn't really explain any complication other than saying it all looks good. And then few months later, I get a bill for $1,100 for what was supposed to be a preventive care visit of no charge! I called the Hospital and the insurance 50+ times and all they said is that the doctor had determined that the visit was not preventive although there were no issues. When I insisted on getting the the diagnostic codes, guess what the doctor has prescribed for labs? a bunch of STD tests and the report says "male AND female partnerS"! Surely, the doctor or his nurse were imagining things or made a… mistake and they were not willing to admit it. After fighting with billing offices for 6 months, I ended up paying it because they got debt collectors involved! My advice: Please find another OB/GYN. This guy is not worth your time or money!

Dr Claire has his ways about himself and you could not change that in anybody he doesn't bite his tongue and he shouldn't I've had my days with Dr Claire but in no way has he led me wrong I met Dr Claire sometime in the 90's and he has been the My gynecologist since then I would not trade him for another no way no fashion and no form

I went to Dr. Frederick Clare with my wife after she miscarried and could not believe how we were treated. The first thing he said to us when we walked in the office was: "I assume you know your baby is dead." What type of callous human being says that to parents who just lost their child. And then he mocked us for wanting to get a confirming ultrasound as recommended by ER doctors. He accused us of wanting a confirming ultrasound only because we were afraid to face reality. We had accepted the reality of the situation before our visit but left his office feeling more depressed than when we first found out the news. This man lacks an ounce of compassion or common sense. He has no bedside manner whatsoever. He is a brute. I don't have enough space to describe the rest of our humiliating and degrading visit but just know that my wife left in tears and it took all I had to not resort to physical violence against this elderly, arrogant, vile piece of humanity. My wife will never visit this… man again. My advice to any woman considering Dr. Clare is to run swiftly in the opposite direction.

I was referred by my primary care physician to The gun hill road office where Dr. Clare works, initially to see another Obstetrician. Unfortunately the Dr. That I was suppose to see was over booked, and I needed to see a GYN as soon as possible, he had appointment the very next day, I should of paid closer consideration to that. This man was a real creep! It was by far the most awkward experience with a physician that I ever had. I waited two hours to see this Dr., and after I was called in, it was like an interview before I was actually seen in the exam room I was taken to three different rooms where I was asked the same questions by his staff and then Dr. Clare himself. Finally, when I was in the last room where I was going to be examined, I notice a dirty head lamp which looked like it had blood stains on part of the handle and the on/off switch. I couldn't believe he actually use that lamp to examine me. To make matters worst, he was extremely aggressive, did not warn me… before placing the instrument in, and was humming a song throughout my two second examination. I was baffled as to what I saw next. To confirm what I believed earlier was to be blood on the examination lamp, he didn't even remove his gloves to turn it off! After that I asked the med. assistant to get me anti bacterial towelettes , and ran out of there. I was suppose to get some blood work done after I was told as I was trying to leave and told them that It was fine I am not coming to this place. Disgusting! Ladies, please do not take some of these comments I just saw seriously. This man is a weirdo, doesn't feel like you're seeing a dr. At all. And work ethics and beside manner were unreal. Don't recommend an experience like this to anyone. This man is disgusting!

Dr. Clare is the best Gyn doctor that I ever had in my life time. He does not onlu counsel me on gyn but on my medical history as well. I would not trade Dr. Clare for all the money in the world.

fabulous, caring and devoted to the patient and not the "system"

I was referred to MD Clare by my MD who was retiring. Dr. Clare told me I should have terminated what is now a beautiful two year old, who was just excepted into an excellent gifted program. He spoke to me as if I was an ignorant, unwed, teenage mother without shoes. I will say one good thing, he referred me to another really good MD, because he didn't want to "touch me". It is time for Dr. Clare to retire!
