Dr Eilber removed a 19 pound tumor from my abdomen. I have recovered well and could not imagine finer medical treatment than I have received. The entire staff was excellent and Dr Eilber has transformed my life...

Both Drs Eilber are the greatest physicians (surgeons) I have had the honor to help me. They took excellent care of me and I will recommend anyone with the diagnosis of sarcoma to see them!

Dr. Eilber treated me for Melanoma many years ago at the John Wayne Cancer Clinic. He was a good doctor explaining things to me in detail. I had a lot of trust in him. Good beside manner. I think he really cares about his patients.

Dr. Fritz Eilber was not only accurate on the diagnosis but extremely caring and involved in my case as deeply as it was required, always knew what was the next step , he not only saved my life but made me believe in the fact that there are still amazing doctors out there, great attitude and always super positive, highly recommended!

At first I wasn't sure about Dr. Eilbur, because his sales pitch about why I should choose UCLA instead of Cedars (I was between the two at that point) rubbed me the wrong way. But I'm really glad I went with him in the end! Not only did he throughly explain my tumor and surgery plans during my visit, he even took the time to then call my mom at work (I'm in my early 20's) to explain everything a second time. I didn't feel at all that he was rushing to get to other patients or anything like that, and I usually feel like that with doctors. My consultation was on a Tuesday, and he was able to schedule me for surgery the following Friday (although he said he had a cancellation, so I guess I got lucky.) The day of my surgery, he tried a lot to keep my spirits up because I was really scared, which I appreciated. The surgery that was supposed to take 3 hours took less than 2, and I was able to leave the hospital after only 3 days when I was scheduled to stay for 5. There was a mixup… somewhere and they prescribed me a painkiller that he didn't think was a good idea for me, and he offered to pay us back for the cost we paid for the first medication. After surgery, he gave me his email and told me to email him any time with questions. I actually emailed him quite a few times, and always got a same-day response, usually within an hour. At my follow-up appointment, he was very friendly with my mom and I and very thorough with instructions about how to take care of myself at home. Luckily for me my tumor ended up being benign, so I didn't need to see him again after that. I highly recommend Dr. Eilbur! He comes off a little course at first, but he is a fantastic and caring doctor. I'm really happy he did my surgery!

This Doctor is honest, thorough and grows on you. At first I wasn't sure if he was the fit for me because his brutal honesty rubbed me the wrong way and his bedside manner wasn't ideal. After almost two years under his care, I recently fought for continued care with him when my insurance company tried to deny my care with UCLA. He is straightforward and communicates exactly what the facts are. Having a rare form of cancer is scary, but having the best surgeon possible has eased my fears and I highly recommend Dr. Fritz Eilber. I feel a bond with him and trust his opinion explicitly. Dr. Eilber has saved my life many times. He is very focused on finding out exactly what is causing your symptoms and how to treat them, so he may come off as a little abrupt, but it is really concern. He schelules tests ASAP, and gets the results to you as quickly as possible. Dr. Fred Eilber is the BEST!

A diagnosis of cancer is a very scary thing. But if it's at all treatable, one should see the very best Doctors in the field. Not only is he good, But Dr Eilber's bedside manner is calming and filled with the confidence that comes from expertise and knowledge. I cannot say enough good things about him.
