Dr. Frederick Elliot Foeppel, MD

"Doctor" Foeppel has been my mothers doctor for many years, and he is awful. Recently mom went to him with coughing. He listened to her breathing, dx her with pneumonia. No testing, nothing. Took some blood at my insistence, to ck for anemia etc. I asked him to do a chest Xray, but he said it's not nessesary. He insisted she had pneumonia, and gave her horse pill antibiotics and codeine cough med. Went back to him a few days later, said she's much better. She wasn't. He gave her more antibiotics at my insistence. She got progressively worse. Finally, we noticed her legs blowing up, water retention. She has had heart failure for years, he had her on water pills, which she didn't like to take all the time b/c she has to climb stairs to go to the bathroom. My sister asked for a chest X-ray, and brought mom to another cardiologist. Turns out, MOM DOESN'T HAVE PNEMONIA AT ALL! She had stopped taking her water pill, and was retaining water, stressing her heart and blowing up because… accumulation around her heart. She was given a better water pill, a porta potty, and a new, better diagnostician Cardiologist. Run, don't walk away from Foeppel!

He is an outstanding and intelligent doctor who took the time to explain everything in laymans terms and you could tell he genuinely cared. I have sent my entire family to him even some traveling across state lines.
