I HIGHLY endorse this doctor and his Medical Assistant. His receptionist I find arrogant, judgemental, and non service oriented. Often is Medical Assistant will mediate and understands if you ask.

Dr Van Hook takes the time to talk to adult children caring for their elderly patients. He listens and gives more than mere medical advice, going on to nutrition, helpful supplements, palliative care, daily activity that caregives can easily provide, and responsible decision making.My mother is his patient since before dementia dramatically decreased her ability to communicate to others. He demonstrates patient regard far above that of any physician I have ever visited.I only hope and pray that doctors will still be that way when and if I need a geriatric physician who actually cares about his patients.
