I’m a breast cancer survivor and have been a breast reconstruction patient of Dr. Kinds for two years, having had over 5 complex surgeries with him. My trust in Dr. Kind as a surgeon is unwavering; I am completely confident in his clinical abilities. His PA, Candice Denby, is equally as exceptional. Dr. Kind is the very best Plastic Surgeon in the Bay Area. As testimony, I drive 3 hours each way to SF to see him for appointments & surgeries. To illustrate how highly I feel about Dr. Kind, I’m sharing this email I sent to him and Candice recently during my hospital stay: “Hi Dr. Kind, It’s always nice to see you, even under not so wonderful circumstances. Thank you for taking the time to visit me personally on the weekend (and after hours Friday) to diagnose & treat me. That really means a lot- you are an incredible physician, as well as an incredible person. You truly have a gift for medicine. I’ve never met another surgeon (and I’ve had more than 15) who genuinely cares about… their patient’s wellbeing, exudes confidence without cockiness, is as skilled & knowledgeable, patient, responsive, articulates so clearly & concisely, or with as much compassion. Dr. Kind is one of the best doctors I have had through my breast cancer journey. After having a lumpectomy partial mastectomy, at UCSF, Dr. Kind put me back together better than I was before the lumpectomy mastectomy. Dr. Kind, his staff and his team at CPMC were all very professional, compassionate and empathetic to my needs. I can't express enough how marvelous everyone was towards me. Dr. Kind did such a marvelous job reconstructing my breasts with minimal scarring. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

OH-MY-GOD !! FABULOUS RESULTS !! I was a hot mess that was a candidate for “Botched” before I walked into Dr Kinds office !! He is a miracle worker !! I sooooo LOVE my results !! His staff is wonderful as well. I HIGHLY recommend him !!

Dr. Kind is one of the most amazing doctors that I have had treat me. He and Dr. Griffin performed breast reconstruction on my following bilateral mastectomies, on the same day. 8 hour surgery. Throughout the entire process he and Dr. Griffin made me feel so at ease, from the interviews (he waited after hours for our appointment), pre-op, surgery, post op, ongoing treatment. Just an amazing person, very caring. Ironic that his name is KIND. Do NOT hesitate to call him for an appointment.

I would highly recommend Dr. Gabriel Kind. Needing breast reconstruction was a traumatic time. Dr. Kind was very professional and informative about my options - he's passionate about his work. His caring and supportive staff made my visits pleasant. My husband and I are of the same opinion: "his work is genius."

Dr. Kind did a horrible breast reconstruction job on me. All I have are ugly scars. I hate the way I look, and I cry about what he did to me every time I accidentally catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I'll never get over it. I would advise all breast cancer patients to RUN, not walk, AWAY from this guy. At the hardest, saddest and most stressful time of my life, my dealings with this doctor only brought me more pain and suffering.

Dr. Kind is an amazing doctor. Not only is he good looking and lives up to his last name, he is a skilled and brilliant surgeon. I had a double mastectomy and went to Dr. Kind for my reconstruction. He gave me a tummy tuck and used my fat from my tummy and gave me natural feeling and looking breasts. He was attentive to all details and while I was in the hospital visited me each evening. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for this dramatic way of reconstruction.

Dr. kind restored my ability to resume a useful and productive life. The cause of the disproportionate fat deposits in the face, neck and shoulder area ("camel hump") as a result of HIV or the antiviral drugs was treated at a time when little was known about this condition.
