Dr. Gabrielle Frances Beaubrun, MD

Avoid provider as she complains about her job and Kaiser employees. She only seems to be there for paycheck and counting days until retirement. Very disappointing.

I was assigned this doctor by Kaiser Permanente, since she was accepting patients. The doctors I wanted were no longer accepting parients. It was a 6 weeks wait to see her between  appointments. She was very condescending and misdiagnosed me during appointments. She did not return emails or voice mails. When I did receive an email response it too was very condescending with no response to questions. She complained about working at Kaiser Permanente and was more focused sharing her personal issues than trying to help me recover from my illness. If you do not feel better after six months change providers and let file complaint with California Medical Board, so future patients will be treated properly.

The physician lacked empathy during appointments and was dismissive of the symptoms I shared with her. I was referred by a female friend, so maybe this physician is more empathetic to female patients and less empathetic towards male patients. I requested a physician change and found a physician that provided me the empathy, professionalism and recovery plan that has worked to address my symptoms.

After my recent initial appointment that started 30 minute late. She explained that she had many patients and a long wait should be expected if I wanted her to be my physician. She was unprepared for my appointment by explaining hadn't reviewed my medical record. Her treatment plan seemed just made up at the moment. I felt like just a number and felt no empathy for my dealing with many symptoms of my illness. I called the office on my drive home to request another physician, who not see me as just another number.

I have been seeing her for years and she meets all my needs, spends lots of time explaining things and is empathetic and respectful.

Dr. Beaubrun has been my psychiatrist for many years. I find her to be very friendly, warm, accepting, and skilled as a provider. Mental health concerns can be stigmatizing and personally distressing. My interactions with her always leave me feeling more optimistic about the future, less hopeless, and more competent to manage my issues.

Recently assigned to doctor since one of the few that was seeing new patients. My first appointment made me feel very depressed by her condescending tone and not allowing to express my thoughts completely. I learned afterwards that she doesn't have a good reputation with patient care, when I requested to assigned another physician. I recommended seeing a physician that attended a medical school in the USA and did residency/training at a respected USA medical center. Upon review afterwards, she had neither qualification and sadly it showed in how she communicated with me and lack of openness to what other physicians thought.

When I did receive a email response it too was very condescending with response to questions. She doesn't like to call patients but rather only email.

Physician spoke down me. Spoke a lot about political environment. She stated that she only replies to yes or no questions from patient emails. She does not communicate by phone with patients. Physician showed little empathy to patient concerns or fears from symptoms experiencing. Physician was very protective of Kaiser Permanete implying any treatment failure to get better not due to Kaiser Permanente staff or medications, but patient.

talked "down" to patient. quick to say that patient is non-compliant and abusing prescriptions without evidence.Doctor does not think the patient's symptoms are as bad as he says they are.
