Dr. Galit Levy, MD

Caused undue suffering to my mother by misreading/not reading hospital discharge papers/intake papers, despite my repeated pleading that my mother's vertebrae was fractured. She insisted it was not, forced 3 hours of therapy daily. My mother wanted to rest in bad and was forced to sit in wheelchair all day. Mother came out worse, I took her directly for exray. Vertebrae was, in fact, broken, and she has since had Kyphoplasty. Ortho said wrong diagnosis, wrong treatment - never should have had OT/PT, she needed bed rest.

I met Dr Levy 4 years ago after moving to Fort Lauderdale from Tampa. Dr Levy is the best most thorough, kind, caring physician I have had the pleasure of having since my injury began 20 years ago. I would like to personally thank her and her staff for the level of care and compassion I have received.

Dr. Levy is a very confrontational doctor and not in a professional way. She doesn't tolerate when patient doesn't agree with her decisions. Doesn't respect patients or listen to them. Constantly makes poor decisions that had consequences on my mom's health. This is a type of doctor that doesn't listen to your needs, only listen to her and will go over any anything even if the patient is a risk because of her poor decisions as a doctor. Do yourself a favor and stay away if you have the option.

A marvelous, caring doctor who is very much missed in Melbourne, FL. Unfortunately, her former boss, Dr. Layton, is, IMHO, a horrible, terrible, not very good doctor who runs off all of her best practitioners and staff.
