Dr Rao has operated on my wife 3 different times with great success for her. He spends time considering options and talking with us before and after procedures. Only once were we not prepared for the recovery issues but before the operation there were many unknowns. He has extended her life and kept her quality of life good as she battles very aggressive breast cancer in her brain.

Dr. Ganesh Rao operated on my mother this month at MD Anderson. My entire family has been so impressed by not only his intellect and skill set, but also his kindness, patience, and innate ability to put us at ease through one of the most stressful events of our lives. He was incredibly attentive to my mother during every step leading up to the procedure. This was the scariest day of her life and she was so brave and I know that a lot of that bravery came from her confidence in her surgeon. She knew she was in good hands, as did we. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly to us, breaking things down and answering any questions we had. He is caring and considerate, characteristics that I have seen lacking in other doctors. He did a wonderful job on the surgery itself and my mother is recovering very quickly. The surgery was a success despite my mother being "high risk" and to say that my family is grateful would be an understatement. Dr. Rao, we are eternally grateful to… you for your kindness and expertise and can never repay you for what you have given us. What you do is so important and I know sometimes we feel as though we are not appreciated, so just know that there won't be a day that goes by that we won't be singing your praises and thanking God for you and the miracles you give to this world. Explained my situation and told me he could take out my tumor without complications. Everything went great.

Loved that he took time to explain my brain tumor with myself and husband. Going into surgery I had absolutely no concerns. After surgery, I have have done far better than anyone imagined.
