Dr. Gang Quan, MD

Very disappointed with my experience at this GI office. I paid $300 expecting to see a doctor but was seen by a nurse practitioner. I clearly explained that I have POTS and wanted colonoscopy options that did NOT involve general anesthesia, and I was assured it would be fine to proceed. I even agreed in writing to pay $1,700 out of pocket for the procedure. When I later asked to speak with someone about anesthesia alternatives, instead of a medical provider calling me, someone from billing called, became confrontational, told me my procedure would be canceled, and hung up on me. When I tried calling back for clarification, I was told not to call again. The clinic then canceled my colonoscopy without any clinical discussion, delaying an important medical screening and forcing me to start over with a new doctor. Patients deserve respectful communication and medical decisions handled by healthcare professionals, not billing conflicts.

Best doctor I have ever met! As a foreigner, seeing a doctor in the US is a little uncomfortable due to the language and the culture. Dr. Gang and his staff were very patient and friendly for all of my questions. I had my sister see him as well and I highly recommend anyone who had bad experiences with their doctors.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Trust the negative reviews! This practice is simply in business to milk people of their money and not to help them. After taking the necessary blood tests the doctor refused to speak to me on the phone, saying I had to come in to have my results read. I've been to many docrots and never experienced this. In the age of COVID, you're more worried about taking my insurance money than improving my health. DO NOT GO HERE!

The wait time was at least 30 minutes after my appointment had been scheduled, then after waiting the doctor came in and almost immediately dismissed all of my complaints by stating that if I just lost 5-10 lbs, all my symptoms would go away. Excuse me? No. That’s not how this works, because believe it or not I weighed 10 lbs less when all my digestive issues started, so explain that?! Even after I tried to insist that there had to be more to it than just being 15 lbs over weight, he would not listen to me. He did not give me the time of day, barely looked at my symptoms, and immediately dismissed me as an ignorant woman. I have been living in pain and discomfort for the last 2 years because of my symptoms and I can 100% tell you that my issues are not all due to my weight. I’m not even that over weight, I’m a 5’4” woman that weighs 160 lbs. Yes, I can lose some weight, but I am by no means obese. I am so angry and disappointed with this experience. I will never go back.

I was afraid to have a colonoscopy. It seems silly now it was so easy. The staff and Dr. Quan made it so easy. I had polyps and hemorrhoids. So glad I went. Don’t let fear keep you from getting this done. Beverly Rychel

I was on time for my appointment. After an hour I decided the Dr was too busy to see me so I left.

I was having some issues and was referred to Dr. Quan for a colonoscopy. I was terrified of the entire situation, but he and his staff were wonderful. The handled everything with my insurance company so I had a verified amount due when I got there for my procedure. The entire appointment was only two hours. They were efficient and thorough. I like his bedside manner. My husband was my driver and he said he is the nicest endocrinologist he has met yet.
