Dr. Garland W Yarborough, MD

I echo other patients’ observations about weak supporting staff, timeliness, and his general lack of urgency. I too heard him chatting with his staff while I waited to be seen 45-60 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. That was just the beginning. His bedside manner wasn’t just rude, it was callous, nescient, and judgmental. I use that appointment’s details to tell my other doctors about the worst possible visit with a physician ever. I let this all go until I saw that he’s still in practice. He appears to be independent now; I wonder if Wheaton Franciscan/Ascension cut him loose. Stay away.

We were so glad to find out Dr. Yarborough didn't retire (he left the Wheaton run office in Nov) like Wheaton made it appear. He actually opened his own practice in the same location on Layton Ave in office #250. He's always shown amazing compassion, and empathy to his patients and whatever they are going through. He once returned my call on a Sunday while driving back from up north and pulled over to talk to me AND call in a prescription to Walgreens so I would get immediate relief. What doctor does that these days? Dr. Yarborough, that's who! You won't regret it.

My appointment was for 1:30pm. I arrived early since this was my first appointment only to find the doors locked. After calling I was told that the doors open at 1:30. OK No biggie. The check in and completing the paperwork took less then 10 minutes. I was not called in until 2:15p and at 2:45 I just walked out. I was in mild pain/discomfort and absolutely did not have time to waste. While sitting in the room I could hear the doctor talking to the nurses. I pay a lot of money for my insurance and my doctors. I think a paying patient should receive better.

late would be a understatement, his RN is a beat behind to say the least, waited over hour to be treated rudely ...another doctor ordered medications that helped with the issues. also flipping up a womens gown without proper cover is beyond rude. Never went back

A few less patients would make our office wait shorter ,which would be a blessing .

I am so thankful for Dr. Yarborough. I feel so comfortable asking him any question. He is professional, yet personable, and I never feel rushed or burdensome with him. I am blessed to have found him as my primary care physician, and would recommend him wholeheartedly.

Very poor communication between staff and doctor. No time spent with patient. No follow up. Physicals scheduled on multiple occasions never happened.

The very best doctor I have ever gone to see. Very caring and concerned. I never feel rushed in the examining room when asking questions of Dr. Yarborough.
