Dr. Garrett James Jackson, MD

Dr. Garrett Jackson is a wonderful doctor! Patient, caring, and thorough, he definitely put me at ease and did his best to make sure I was comfortable as possible both per-operative and post-operative. Dr. Garrett Jackson spent plenty of time listening to my concerns and answering questions - I never felt rushed. If you need a neurologist, look no further, this is the physician you want on your medical journey.

Dr. Jackson read the referral and looked at an X-ray that was sent to himm and when he entered the room, he proceeded to tell me that my problem is not his specialty, so he can't offer any answers. I was then about to be billed for the less than 5 minutes with him until I protested. Any question I asked was answered with "I don't know." He offered that the problem, whatever it is, will work itself out.

My husband had been in back pain for about 2 years when the VA recommended us to Dr. Garrett Jackson for surgery. Dr. Jackson ordered several X-rays, test, mri's before scheduling the surgery. We went in for consultation and immediately thought he was great and very caring. The day of surgery came and he met us at the hospital, he was very supportive and explained the procedure thoroughly. The surgery lasted much longer than he had anticipated because my husband's back was much worse than expected. Dr. Jackson was absolutely wonderful in explaining the situation and the severity of my his back. Afterwards as my husband was recouping Dr. Jackson was again very supportive , came in daily more than once to check on him and seemed to care, which meant a lot to us and our family. He done a truly amazing and very complicated surgery on my husbands back and he hasn't had hardly any pain since. His bedside manner was great, he was very caring and knowledgeable, answered every question we… ask even the minor ones. He is definitely one of the best and we would highly recommend him for anyone who would need a neurological surgeon. Impatient, abrupt, condescending.

Terrible Dr. He Diagnosed a shunt infection as constipation. His bedside manner is terrible. He should never again work with children.

He has been great with my son. He does a good job of explaining the answers to my questions. A very caring and compassionate person!
