Dr. Gary G Auxier

My Child was taken to Dr. Auxier for addressing my child's behavior by a step parent. Dr. Auxier diagnosed my child with ADHD. My child was significantly affected by the drugs that Dr. Auxier recommended, one in which is Ritalin, and Concerta, a multidose time release form of Ritalin. I have questioned whether that this was in the best interest of my child after I observed the horrible side affects. Even though Dr. Auxier was informed of my childs family heart history, he ignored the possible dangers of giving the medication. Both his step parent and blood parent fails to observe these side affects due to convenience of the medication and sedating my child on their parenting time with it as a means to establish structure in the home. I caution all parents that are considering to use this Doctor to keep in mind that he makes a great deal of income on his required once a month visits to his office for re-evaluation of his child patients. Also, this is a NON-SCIENTIFIC BASED… diagnosis that is based on a simple 2 page questionnaire. His income is also supported by his ADHD seminars that cost $50 per person to attend. He makes false accusations of the percentage of people who are helped with alternative types of therapy, forcing you to want to do "EVERYTHING" FOR your child by seeking his medical only type help. He is against any other type of therapy that doesn't bring him a dollar. This doctor is motivated by his own income over the destruction he is causing his patients and the poor parents that depend on his expertise for advice such as myself. His license should be pulled! He may help his other patience, but he puts his own interests first. I cant see how you can trust a doctor who doesnt seem to observe the affects of the drugs he prescribes on such young and innocent children that is being harmed by such drugs as Ritalin. Ask all the right questions, and if your child is really a candidate, have him or her be evaluated by a Qualified Behavioral Center for Children.
