Dr. Gary H Boxer, MD

My son has been seeing Dr. Boxer for a few months now. We were lucky to have found him. He's a great fit for my son's care! He is patient, takes time to listen to my concerns and very prompt with appointments.

Dr Boxer spent over 60 min on first visit getting to know family & my child, then second visit spent 50 min with my child for one on one diagnosis. then a 10 min parent follow up @ the end. He interacts with my child more than either of his previous Dr's. Hes very genuine to the kids not like their just there to be medicated & sent on their way. Best child Psychologist in KC area in my opinion.

Not the first to give Dr. Boxer low rating for bedside manner. He is no warm fuzzy, which is unfortunate given that he works with kids. He doesn't spend a lot of time with patients on regular visits, although it is possible to get an extended visit. He is blunt, so be prepared to swallow your parenting pride (and your kid may not like what he has to say either). He does seem to know his stuff, though, and is conservative about switching meds around (which not all doctors are).
