Dr. Gary Richard Fahrenbach, MD

My experience with him was the WORST doctor experience I have ever had. Please save your time, money, and piece of mind and see another rheumatologist, even if you have to wait longer for an appt or travel farther. I was referred to a rheumatologist because I had hives for six months and my allergist was concerned that I had an autoimmune disease. Dr. Fahrenbach did not look at my hives or ask me much about anything that I was experiencing. He then had me do blood work, and called and said "It looks like you have lupus." He didn't explain this diagnosis to me at all, and when I asked said that there was no reason for me to have a follow up appt. He wanted to prescribe me immunosuppresants over the phone. I tried calling the office multiple times that week because after the initial shock, I had many questions. Each time the receptionist rudely told me that he was busy. Later that week, my allergist told me that she received blood work results that showed I have celiac disease. I… finally got through to Dr. Fahrenbach the following week and brought this up to him and he said "I guess you have that and not lupus then." It was absolutely horrible patient care (and it especially was annoying when I had to pay the large bill). I hope this warns other people, so they do not have the same negative experience of being grossly misdiagnosed with no follow up.

Office staff friendly. Office only open 22 hours per week. Does not respond to pages with urgent issues, nor return calls for concerns.

I unfortunately cannot recommend Dr. Fahrenbach to anyone. I found him to lack compassion and his bed side manor was basically non existent. I sought counsel for a medical condition to which he advised over the counter meds. Overall, I very unpleasant and unfortunate experience.

I found Dr. Fahrenbach to be very caring and personable. He was easy to talk to and I would recommend him to anyone. He is very knowledgable.

Could not be more disappointed in a physician than I am with this one. He could not care less about my health, not sure why he chose this profession. It certainly wac not to help ailing people.

This physician was very uncaring, kept deferring to a different physician who admitted he was unfamiliar with my disease (a disease supposedly fahrenbach's specialty). Took a very stand-offish posture in my darkest hour of need. His main concern was billing me.
