Dr. Gary Daniel Fleischer, MD

Have been under the surgical care of Dr Fleischer for two years. He performed ACDF at C4-5 in February 2024. Review to follow…

If you are reading this review, my advice to you is to stay far, far away from this doctor. He is so rude and condescending. He implied several times that I smoked marijuana, which I do not. He harped on it throughout the visit. When I told him my pain level, he laughed. When I told him my situation, he was condescending and seemed to not care. My exam was less than 5 minutes. I quickly walked out of my appointment and never went back. I am treating with a great doctor now. I would never, ever let this “doctor” treat me. Stay far, far away!

I wouldn’t have anyone else touch my bk dr fletcher has done 4 operations on my bk !!

After having L 3 L4 lower spine fusion i was moved to outpatient therapy where the next day the spine wrap ruptured. I was on bed rest for days until it stopped leaking. During that time DR Fleischer showed up visiting me which he was not supposed not to come to the rehab to visit patients. I said to him he was not to visit me there and replied they dont care. He then said it was not his fault what happened with the rupture, he was arrogant and disrespected my family on the phone. So, he did surgery on my lower spine which went wrong and is not his fault really, Red Flag right there. Next time i will find a real legitimate surgeon preferably German !

I have an ongoing workmans comp case and they will not help me point blank because I am not an existing patient. was told by the office manager whom at first wouldn't even speak to me and had some lady named Rhonda do her nasty bidding. My attorney even spoke to them and they told her that they had never even spoken to me. Even though Nancy their so called Office manager did speak to me and told me that my adjuster simply said no... I tried to simply get he to write down that the adjuster did in fact say no over the phone and they refused.

Thought he was a straight shooter, and agreed to a surgery I probably should have foregone. Had major pain afterwards beginning about a month later and made several follow up appointments. He dismissed the pain, and would not allow me to be treated by another physician. Then a major complication set in, resulting in severe paralysis, and he still dismissed it as marginal weakness. He had no sense of urgency, and I couldn’t even get timely diagnostic tests. Had to visit many other doctors for a diagnosis, and then he scolded me for going behind his back for referrals. Without having any idea what the diagnosis is, his recommendation was to perform another major surgery just to see what happens. His medical assistant is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered; she asks for detailed personal history over the phone, and says that she will only relay the message if she determines it to be an emergency. I guess without complications, the experience wouldn’t be that bad, outside of… dealing with the abysmal receptionist. But just know if you have any complications, you are going to be left to fend for yourself

I met with Dr. Fleischer twice, after having four surgeries, from 2005 to 2010. Plus many other procedures in Boston Ma with some of the most outstanding surgeons, who have always told me about my spinal condition. After four long years of rehab, I was in an automobile accident where a man ran a stop sign. My spinal issues were confined to my Lumbar until the accident . Now have multiple herniation's in my Tspine, and the "cage" replacing my L5 was damaged. I saw this surgeon when I moved all my doctors to Core Physicians in Exeter NH. They are all great. Except this surgeon. who laughed at me, as if I knew nothing about my condition. Insulted my Pain Mgnt Doctor, who has been taking wonderful care of my Tspine, but not qualified for Lspine, because he knew it was surgical care only. Dr Fleischer's office specifically asked me not to bring my MRI but instead bring a Xray. The day of my visit, last week. He walked in the room, I had the written report of updated MRI "just in case" and… he laughed at me and asked why I did not bring the disc. of the MRI. I told him his nurse advised me not to. For me to have an Xray the day of my appt. and bring that in instead. I ended up walking out without saying a word. I immediately called my pain MD>Dr Greenspan, who is wonderful and knowledgable and understands my condition. He immediately referred me elsewhere. I would never recommend Dr Fleischer to anyone. He is condescending, not caring, and insults a patients dignity and intelligence.

Asks about issues, but dismisses concerns in condescending manner. Staff was always polite but he constantly had an arrogant air and was very rude

Extremely caring and the best neuro surgeon within a hundred miles

Dr. Fleischer is an amazing surgeon. I lived for nearly 2 years with a torticollis positioing of my neck caused from an injury. I saw doctor after doctor searching for answers and help. Dr.Fleischer was my 22nd opinion. He was the only one who didn't give me the quick answer "Spasmodic Torticollis" I knew it wasn't spasmodic torticollis just because of how the injury happened. I had a disk protrusion in my neck that affected my left arm. He and I both believed removing the disk would help the arm pain and possibly straighten my neck by relieving the affected nerve. He told me if the disk was the cause, once the internal swelling went down, I would wake up and be straight. 1 month after surgery, that is exactly what happened. My neck has been straight for 15 months, I feel the best I have ever felt, and I have him to thank for that. The other doctors didn't believe that the disk protrusion could cause my neck to do that, and I will forever remember him saying to me "Just because we… havn't seen it, doesn't mean it can't happen" Truly and amazing person!
