Dr Gary Scott Kasten

Dr. Kasten has been my doctor for over 13 years. He delivered my two children and performed several procedures with great care and professionalism. I have recommended him to four family members (total of 7 deliveries) and they all love him too! The only negative is the wait time in his office, but that doesn't matter much to me because he is worth the wait. I have full confidence in his knowledge and expertise and hope he never retires!

My doctor Matalon had retired and Dr. kasten took over his patients I was there to see Dr. kasten for the first time. After waiting 40 minutes I was called and my blood pressure and my weight were taken.The nurse asked me to undress and put my gown on,the doctor would be right with me. After waiting 15 minutes for the doctor to come in, I called the front desk to see what was going on and I was put on hold And while I was on hold I got completely dressed,went to the front asking to speak to an office manager while I was still on hold waiting to find out what’s going on. lol never even saw the doctor. Very disappointing since I had been a patient of Dr Matalon for over 42 years

Not a compassionate doctor at all. I went in and he told me something pretty serious about my baby and then ran out of the office barely answered any of my questions and just acted annoyed when we called him back in. Seemed he was too busy to be bothered with a first time moms concerns.

I've been seeing Dr kasten since 2013 and I refuse to see another doctor he is excellent and very through he's delivered both of my children with no complications and was very understanding to my choice to go completely natural and didn't try to convince me otherwise to this day I still will go to Dr kasten with no doubt in my mind that he will be througho and adress any problems I may come across in the best manor he can and for his staff I love them all the girls are so nice anday always squeeze you in to see the doctor if necessary grate estableshment

Excellent dr delivered both babys and have nothing bad to say only dr I'll go to i love his staff and he is amazing at his job :)

Dr. Kasten was wonderful to me as I had two babies within 15 mos. of eachother at the age of 40yrs and 41years. I am extremely inquisitive and at points I was very anxious due to my age. Dr. Kasten and his staff will always be special to me because of the time they took to reassure me and to listen to my concerns. In reaction to the prior review. There are times he is coming in and out and is busy but if ever I voiced a concern he would always meet with me to talk about it. When I realized at the very end of my first pregnancy that he may not be on call when I went into labor, he asked me point blank..."Do you want me there?" and I said "YES"! He said, "Then I will be there". I had voiced my preference for a vaginal delivery several times before my due date. I had difficulty delivering her naturally but Dr. Kasten stayed with me until she was born vaginally at 2am even though he had been there since 7am the day before. He never pressured me to have a C-section. Dr. Kasten is an "old… school" dr. in that, although I am sure he is pressured by the changing times of healthcare, he still takes care of his patients himself. I cannot speak highly enough of him and his staff.

Arrogant

I was told he was very carying doctor but only his private office in oakdale. Totally different care and service at the clinic in amityville. Time with him was less than 5 minutes in the 4-5 times I seen him; all he did was to apply fetal monitor to hear baby heart beat and tell me he will see me in a month. Didn't bother to ask how I was feeling or explain any plan or results.
