Dr. Gary Lee Kielpikowski, MD

It's hard to understand how he still hasn't had his license pulled yet. That in it's self should say enough about him as a psychiatrist. He has major control issues that are harmful to his patients. Like a bb in a box cart. You never know what he's going to do twice let alone once. This is your hard earn taxes folks paying this mans wages. Going to see him is like being on a roller coaster with no wheels.

I must say that I've been watching this thread off and on for awhile. So first of all I do not agree with the name calling and the one post that seems to be a threat is just inappropriate behavior. This thread is to inform patients about their experience with doctors out here. With that said my time with Dr. Kielpikowski has been very unprofessional as well. I've known this man for many years and he's pretty much what some of you have explain in your post. He just doesn't play fair at all with you to the point he can make you worst off then your were before you came in. One of his biggest pitfalls is he doesn't work well with his staff. The most important thing is having your therapist and doctor on the same plate as each other for a proper patient care plan. One time you think your following what he wants you to be doing and the next time you see him or your therapist its a whole new ball game. He is very cold and makes you feel like why did I even bother coming in to see him. He is… very controlling and very much dishonest. My gut says that he enjoys seeing you in pain. I have talked with the patient advocate as well and nothing has changed with his behaviour. I've even spoke with one of his supervisiors and he felt there isn't a problem with Dr. K. I truly feel for some of you that have spoken what I too have experienced with him. There is no room for behaving like this with your patient that one is making you more sick. Depression is a horrible illness to cope with and to be told your a slacker for being this way is wrong. I mean what's the point of being a pdoc if all your doing is belittling your patients. Were veterans and most of us don't have any other insurance than the one we earn. It would be nice if this good ole boy behavior would stop and allow a board review to be conducted on this matter. I would hope others that read my post will not be ashame to speak your mind if you've experience this same misconduct.

It amazes me that most of you that have posted comments about Dr.Kielpikowski are most likely staff members of his. For one Jack Freeman would never come out here to write a review about Dr. K. Seems the only one that hit the nail on the head is the first writer. With that said I can't say why Dr.Kielpikowski behaves the way he does. I'd almost be afraid to be in his head. What puzzles me the most is how he gets away with treating his patients with so much disrespect. There have been countless complaints about him to the patient advocate but he's still there doing what he does best. Even his boss allows him to continue to behave inappropriate to not only clients but his colleagues as well. His behavior is known throughtout the whole building. My primary has made comments that are not in his favor. He seems to have no concerns about turning his patients inside out leaving them worst off then they were before they came in. I have seen plenty of patients come out of his office either in… tears or anger. If I had to sum him up it would be as the first writer spoke about. And that would be he has more issues than most of his patients. He isn't honest in any fashion at all. But that doesn't seem to raise any flags at all to his supervisors. He will tell you one thing and minutes later change his mind and do something else. Its like he can't stay focus. He is very judgemental and demeaning. Some of his comments just cut to the bone. Seeing a psychiatrist shouldn't be this way. So my best advise is to avoid him at all cost. As for the name callers on this thread and the last comment how about giving a real review about him. Maybe someone may see this and say its time to replace this doctor with one that can help us veterans and not make us worst. What I've said here was spoken in truth and not callousness towards this man. And yes I've been through the chain of command about this issue. It fell on deaf ears.

DR. KAY IS EITHER CHARMING, OR HIS HEAD'S IN THE CLOUDS. I'M TIRED OF WONDERING. BUT I HAVE MUDERERS IN MY FAMILY SO HE DOES'NT BOTHER ME NO MATTER WHAT HE REALLY IS.

I've only got a few things to say about this man. One he's a VA doctor. And if your a veteran seeking mental health care do not request this man or except him as your doctor. He is not a liked man. He does not listen to your problems and blames you for having them. He'll tells you things a doctor of his background should never say. His bedside manner is very bad. If you request a new doctor they will not change you out to another one. He makes up rules and lies about what the VA feels should be done to you. Avoid this doctor at all cost. This isn't a person being vindictive here, ask anyone that has him as a doctor. He doesn't care about his patients. In my humble opinion he has more mental health issues than his patients. He's very paranoid. Sits in his room with the shades down his whole shift.
