Dr. Gary Louis Malone, MD

he Violates patient rights, is incompetent

I have seen Dr. Gary Malone many times in the past. I believe that he is an excellent psychiatrist and extremely well versed in the treatment of chemical addiction. I would highly recommend Dr. Malone.

Dr. Malone will quickly medicate. Often times the medication will drastically change your life and cause you to become medication dependent! My advice is to seek out another doctor....Mental disorders are painful and difficult to diagnosis properly. But be sure that you don't rush into a premature diagnosis!

No kidding about holding patients hostage. If someone admits themselves and is told by other medical caregivers and family they can check out at their will and Dr. Malone keeps going to some unknown judge and gets a forced stay, he has violated civil liberties and has broken down all trust between the patient and his/her family and other caregivers.

He has the tendency of holding patients hostage for no clinical reason.

He prescribed meds while I was in hospital. I told him I wanted nothing with sexual side effects and he assured me that Cialas would override his meds. He lied. When I told him I wanted meds changed he put me back in hospital under the guise that he needed to monitor med changes. Did not receive any meds and requested to transfer or leave AMA. He refused and said he would get a court order if I did not comply. He made it clear that I was staying at least one night so that they could be paid. He obviously has a financial interest in Millwood.

He only cares about money. That is it. He doesn't care about you. He will not listen to you. He will be condescending, argumentative, and flat out lie to and about you. I am very highly educated. I have a clear understanding between the differences in an ideation and a plan. Dr Malone does not. He will put complete falsehoods in your record. Do not use this farce of a doctor.

Seems sincere and caring, but when the allotted time for your appointment ends he won't allow any additional time. If you are in the middle of a sentence he will stop you and say the session is over. I have had a lot of problems with his front desk person. She is very rude and unreliable! Also, I find the fees that are charged to be very high.

I was in-patient and diagnosed with bipolar when I got stuck with him. He actually argued with me when I told him I tried suicide because I was unemployed and couldn't take living at home with my folks anymore. Then he said if I lived 5 years, I would have a crummy life. Yes, he literally said that! Then he accused my dad of being a "perp", after hearing a lie from another patient that he hugged me "innappropriately" during a visit the night before. I called the patient advocate and fired him. He also over-medicated and I was zombie-like on the meds. Please fire this doctor the second you hear his name!!!

mental health is a tough topic, it was wonderful to FINALLY find a Psychiatrist who was actually focused more on the human than the $$
