Dr. Gary Matthys, MD

I have had two knee scopes done by Dr. Matthys and was very satisfied with the results, however, his business management lacks. It has been 5 months since surgery & my insurance has not been billed yet. I have called several times and been told Dr. hasn't coded to be able to file with ins. I have major medical & would have liked to be able to meet my deductible for other matters, but I'm not sure if that will happen this year! Excellent surgeon, but maybe has too many clinics & patients to handle.

Have to admit I was quite apprehensive prior to surgery but was so very pleased with Dr. Matthys. His skills are above reproach. Though I don't entertain thoughts of more surgery, I would not hesitate to see him if ever in need of orthopedic surgery. Fargo is lucky to have him.

Dr is very good. In every aspect. I would recommend him to ever one

Dr Matthys is rated pretty high in my book. He has done a replacement on both my knees. They are wonderful. He was so nice along with his assistant. He has given me a new painfree life & now can enjoy my walks again. I am now due for my 6 month checkup so will see him soon.....

Long sufferer from Legg Calve Perthes. Had a THP from Doctor Matthys at age 36. 2 years now and I have been virtually pain free. Unbeliavable doctor, passionate about anterior approach, and second to none in the operating room ... highly recommended. Thanks Dr. Matthys and sorry I have skipped my followups. Doing too well!

Dr. Matthys did an awesome total hip surgery on me. I couldn't walk a block even with my cane.After surgery,was home in 2 and 1/2 days,off my walker in a week.Still use my cane,afraid of falling,at 4 weeks.Small incision,healed nicely.I still have back problems(2 surgeries)but Dr Mathhys is a miracle worker.Thank you!!!

Too busy to make sure his patients have the followup care they need. Office appears to be managed to not only does the right hand not know what the left is doing, but I think the left hand is missing entirely. Not impressed so far

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Matthys. What a wonderful surgeon! My 87 year old mother fell, broke her hip and was transferred to Sanford in Fargo. He was the surgeon that had her case. He met with us before the surgery and explained the procedure and risks. While Mom was in surgery, I put on my walking shoes and walked the halls and stairs of all the floors of Sanford. The surgery was completed before I returned to the waiting room and Dr. Matthys took time to come and find me! Unbelievable. The whole hospital situation is always a bit scary and can cause a person to be anxious but we were treated with great care and concern. The surgery was a complete success and I couldn't be happier.

I had Orthopaedic knee replacement by Dr Matthys , the entire staff was very professional and accomodating before , during and after care. I would see him again.
