Dr. Gary Meredith, MD

Dr. Meredith is cordial, and thorough. I never feel rushed when I visit him. He listens carefully, and gives me confidence that I will continue to see my situations improve.

I thought I had finally found a doctor who cared. I didn’t turn out that way. He didn’t tell me he was in Madison,Wisconsin as a fill in doctor. He took all kinds of blood work, told me he would be out of the office for 2 weeks, the blood results were on my chart the next day, I needed medicine, which took me 4 weeks to get(exactly) any medicine. I suspected I was not told the whole story, I questioned a nurse and she told me he was done in 2 weeks. I wasted my time, while I was in pain the whole time and really don’t have a doctor yet. Why would Dean Clinic give him new patients, when he is leaving to New York, where they borrowed him from. Some other town close by would be fine, I would drive 50 plus miles to see a good doctor. He is trouble just waiting to happen. I am very unhappy.

Had the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Meredith today. Great personality. Actually looked at my records and discussed medications. Also gave me an exam. Sooooo pleased, wish I could see him always

the office staff is extremely rude and discourteous. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

The office staff was so horrid that I never went back. The office staff insisted that I pay them upfront,although I have Medicare.This is ILLEGAL if a doctor accepts Medicare Assignment.When the office staff demanded payment upfront, I asked the office staff if Dr. Meredith if he accepted Medicare Assignment,I was told that they did not know.This is something a doctorâ??s staff should certainly know. The secretary told me that If I did not pay upfront and see the doctor, I would NEVER be allowed to make an appointment with Dr .Meredith again.I should have just left. It turned out that Dr. Meredith indeed does take Medicare Assignment,yet insists on charging Medicare patients out of pocket and having the patients submit the claim for reimbursement. It took me over a year to be reimbursed.They had ME pay them directly,and had MEDICARE pay them directly as well,so they were paid twice for what I had paid to them out of pocket. I had to report them to Medicare.Medicare had to extract the… money out of them and force them to reimburse me for the money .It took me well over a year to get the money back that they were never allowed to charge me out of pocket under the law. Had I read the other comments which cited the nastiness of the staff, I never would have gone to see him.

I could not make an appointment and canceled it. When I tried to make a new appointment they said I did not cancel. The doctor denied me from making another appointment. I have been to many doctors and never had this happen before. I have waited in doctors offices for over an hour before I was seen. I am sure he doesn't run on time at times. What makes his time more valuable then mine. Very rude to not even give someone a chance to reschedule.

Doctor Meredith listened very intently while I described my symptoms and ordered a comprehensive blood exam which put my mind at ease. Would highly recommend this doctor.

He examination is thorough, he listens very well, and he is very pleasant. I felt that he was very knowledgeable and I was in good hands. The office staff is very helpful and cooperative.
