Dr. Gary Victor Trupp, MD

I had Dr. Trupp and he delivered my baby, he honestly saved my baby's life! My baby was trying to come very early and if it wasn't for him, I've would of lost the baby. I had my son at 35wks because of him and he was a great doctor and did very well delivering my son. I never forgot him after that and I would highly recommend anyone to consider him.

Dr. Trupp is not for everyone. He tends to joke and some people have a hard time with that. He takes things seriously when its needed, but people have to understand that he is constantly booked and sometimes he has to hurry to get to everyone. His quick thinking after my delivery saved my life. In those very critical moments he stopped hollering orders at nurses to tell me it would be ok. Through the whole process he talked me through what was happening even though there was minimal time to waste. You can ask any nurse in that hospital and they will tell you what a good doctor he is, and they are the ones who would truly know.

I would definately recommend him for family and friends! I had him throughout my pregnancy and he delivered my son. He took great care of us and always make me feel comfortable

My case goes back to 1987 with Dr Trupp.I used him as my ob when I got pregnant with my son. My pregnancy was not treated well, I had nosebleeds, which dr Trupp told me "you are not having periods, it has to come out somewhere!". This was one of MANY issues I had with him, including the SIXTEEN hour delivery that should have been a C-Section. His bedside manners was horrible, and he didn't seems knowledable at all. I would NEVER suggest Dr Trupp.

My case dates back 22 years. I was sent to Dr. Trupp from my Primary Care Dr. after he discovered a large ovarian cyst. The ultra sound was "hard to read" according to Dr. Trupp - so he ordered a new one. The new ultrasound didn't show a cyst (it had ruptured). I was very ill, low blood pressure - really not feeling well. My PCP thought I needed surgery - but Dr. Trupp said my problem was mental and gave me a card for a Psych. When I returned to my PCP with that info - he conferred with Dr. Trupp and I was sent back. Dr. Trupp was angry and insisted on a second opinion. The second opinion confirmed a need for surgery. I was in a weakened state and not a great frame of mind. I let my PCP talk me in to having Dr. Trupp perform the surgery. A routine hysterectomy turned in to a 2 - 3 hour procedure. I had several cysts that had ruptured and was FULL of scar tissue. After the surgery Dr. Trupp apologized to my husband for what HE must have gone through while I wasn't feeling well. Never… said a word to me. (At one point during treatment before the surgery he patted my knee and said "some women just can't handle pain and are laid up once a month.") I would not recommend this Dr.

Dr Truppw as nice enough each time I had an appointment with him, I saw him the full nine months of my first pregnancy, and he also delivered my son. However he is very uncaring, and rushes through every appointment not actually caring enough to find out how I was feeling, I would not go back to Dr Trupp especially because of the experiences some of my friends and family members have recently had with him.

What should have been a minimally invasive surgery ended up being a major one because the doctor cut an artery while doing the LSH. He ended up having to cut my open cesarean style to get the bleeding to stop. What should have been a 2 week recovery ended up being 6. I know that docs make mistakes but that cut a whole month of my paycheck!

Very uncaring and unprofessional. Lacks consideration for the patient or the family. Very slow to respond.

Situation is still pending. I recently had a sugery done by Trupp where he claimed I had endometriosis and that my tubes where plugged. He claimed he was unable to remove any of the endometriosis because of the advanced level it was, but unplugged the tubes. A tool used during the surgery was left inside my vaginal cavity. When I tried to discuss this finding with Trupp he displayed horrible bed side manner and would only explain things with medical terminology which was very confussing. He didn't display any concern for my well-being and seemed to be only worried about having a law suit pressed. I have switched doctors and have found out that I might not even have endometriosis. This is still pending.
