Dr. Gary David Wasserman, MD

I saw Dr. Wasserman on two occasions. I first saw Dr. Wasserman for a minor case of prostatitis. He performed a prostatic massage after which he had unprofessionally lost the specimen just minutes after the procedure that he insisted on. On the follow up visit Dr. Wasserman insisted on a digital rectal exam. He had done it in a way so as to cause me severe and permanent bodily damage. From the insertion of his finger, I was bleeding severely for the next two weeks and developed a large internal hemorrhoid and or scar tissue resulting in voiding issues. And this exam was performed by an experienced medical specialist!! I had never had any voiding issues what so ever prior to that exam. And since that visit a polyp in my colon had to be removed which I suspect is related to voiding issues suffered from the damage caused by Dr. Wasserman. I ask myself why this happened to me as I was only very nice to this Dr. (same ethnicity as him- in regards to a prior reviewer comment) I some how can… only think that Dr. Wasserman is twisted and it was unfortunate for me that he had other than professional thoughts in his mind at the same time that he had my faith and trust in him to protect my health as an experienced specialist/physician. I hope my testimony to the despicable act of Dr. Wasserman may save others from a similar fate as mine. ALERT!! PLEASE DO AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ANY COST !!!!

Inadequate records, thought he prescribed medicine which he did not and based subsequent prescription on that error; performed procedure in hospital and two days later had to repeat the procedure because first time he did not do it properly, extending my stay in hospital.

I have been seeing Dr. Wasserman for a little over 1 year and always found to be very pleasant and treated my overacted bladder and reoccurring infections correctly he also returns my phone calls the same day .

I saw Dr. Wasserman because of frequent urination. After giving me a sonogram he told me I had bladder cancer because he saw a growth in my bladder. He said he was 99% sure. Because I was leaving on a 2 week vacation in two days I couldn't schedule another internal camera exam until I got back. When I saw him 3 weeks later he told me he made the wrong diagnosis. He got a clearer picture and recognized his mistake, I didn't have cancer. He put me thru agony because he was so arrogant and sure of himself, he didn't think he really needed the next test. He was so sure of himself, and kept explaining and justifying his mistake. Awful doctor

My wife called Wasserman recently. He was in the office when she called, with a complaint about severe pain in the urinary tract. She left three messages for him. He never returned the calls.

I used to think Dr. Wasserman was a good doctor but ever since he moved to a new location he has not been the same. His mind seems to be elsewhere, his diagnosis has been in part incorrect, he does not take into account completely medications that you take and how it affects your condition. His staff is worse. They make more than usual mistakes, they don't do what they say they will and are generally incompetent. The office is hyperactive and stressed out like the Dr is and it shows. I would go to another office until they settle into their new location but it might not be their new location. I wonder sometimes who is in charge, the Doctor or his staff. You may get better service if your ethnic background is the same as the staff, only an objective observation.
