Dr. Gary David Zweig, MD

I have been Dr. Zweig's patient for over 40 years. I am well fixed financially and could go to any doctor I wanted. My experience with Dr. Zweig is such that I feel very fortunate to have him as my primary care doctor. He diagnosed my first lymphoma symptoms, immediately set me up for biopsy, and was supportive of me through my chemotherapy and radiation. I have absolute faith in him and the successful outcome of 40 years to justify that faith. Dr. Zweig's fees are NOT excessive and he offers services equal to and exceeding what you are paying for. I recommend him and endorse him without reservation.

I get the impression that Dr. Zweig is working hard at cleaning up his bad reputation. Dr. Gary Zweig is NOT, NOT, NOT a genuinely caring, ethical physician. His knowledge and skills as a physican are also - clearly - unsatisfactory. I regret that I didn't immediately stand up and walk out after a couple of his insane statements. I am an ex-patient and have since met two other patients who had the same impressions: incredibly self-important, condescending, quick to assume, quick to judge, and he wants only patients who will take what he says hook, line, and sinker without any hesitation or concerns. Don't be fooled by his advertisements and a few carefully written reviews. I agree with the patient who said "Avoid like the plague."

Patient of Dr Zweigs for over 20 years. Takes time for each patient his expertise is beyond my expectation.

Dr. Zweigs new website is as lofty as his ego. He may have succeeded academically long ago, but his behavior and attitudes as a physician are disturbing. His bedside manner is awful, he is extremely critical and negative toward patients, and does NOT have the medical knowledge, caring nature, or motivation that he claims to have. I would be very worried about any patient with a serious or chronic illness because of Zweigs tendency to look at the dark side of everything and his tendency to make hasty diagnoses without proper basis. He could literally talk someone right into their grave. Zweig obviously prefers patients who worship him and mind him like obedient children, gladly paying his huge fees. He even admitted that he is expensive and amazingly, he believes he is worth it. Patients looking for an internist should ask themselves why an internist in his 60s would pay for an extravagant advertisement, which includes a dated picture of himself. By now, if he had earned the… reputation he claims to have he wouldnt need to advertise. Patients share their experiences and impressions. Be careful of this physician. He is NOT all the wonderful things he claims to be. Dont let his advertisement fool you.
