Dr. Gayle S Rozantine, MD

The billing practices of this office are unprofessional. I cancelled an appointment on Saturday via email for a scheduled Monday session, which easily met their 24-hour notice window. Now they are saying it is 24 "business" hours, which is NOT in the policy statement. I have been a patient of Dr. Rozentine since 2020. In the past, I have missed appointments and willingly paid the cancellation fee because I failed to meet the 24-hour policy. That said, I have only missed two appointments since July of 2023. The first missed session happened because I could not log onto the Zoom call appointment. I was actively in contact with the office staff the entire time trying to resolve the technical issue, but still, I took accountability and paid the fee because I respect their time. The second is the appointment in question. Despite providing clear documentation and proof of the email cancellation on Saturday for a Monday afternoon appointment, the front office staff refuses to acknowledge it… and is aggressively trying to charge me. I have received 44 emails regarding this bill since April 21. This borders on harassment. When I tried to resolve the issue, the staff was completely unhelpful and hostile. They are now threatening to send this unauthorized charge to collections. Keep this in mind…when you are dealing with this therapist, you are also dealing with her office staff.
