First and foremost, she seems to treat people as nothing more than a diagnosis and not a human. Her bedside manner is abrupt, rude, and inconsiderate. When I did not have the co-pay amount she required ($200+!!!), she asked me why I was there. Less than 30 seconds into why I needed her help, she interrupted me to say, "We will need to just reschedule. I can't help you today if you don't have the money." I had offered her the $70 cash that I had and said she could bill me the rest, and I would give her the rest the following day. She didn't care about anything except her pocketbook. I was utterly disgusted with her and the way she made me feel.

Dr. Gayle Stewart is truly the best! Since I've been going to her she has helped me with my Depression! And I am soooo happy to have found her!!!!!

I only wish I had read past reviews of this doctor before she shook me down for $175.00 for less than 20 minutes of her time. Evidently, she is a "pill mill" doctor, but the day I visited she was having a bad time with Whitney Houston passing away - this is true - and her husband's brother insisting that he attend a family funeral. Yes, that's right. I had to listen to her problems during my coveted 20 minutes. Then she gave a script for depression and said she couldn't help me anymore because Whitney Houston died from "benzoids." Shameful. I got her name from the Cigna website and they should report her for malpractice. I was told to write a check - no credit or debit cards - of course - and told to collect my money from my HSA. Hideous.

This doctor should probably have her license revoked - she'll get you confused with other patients, not show up for appointments scheduled days in advance, misdiagnosed me and put me on dangerous pscyotropic drugs that turned my brain to mush. She eats in front of you, double books appts, and her office is a mess ... many a time she had to go digging around her messy desk for my file. Do yourself a big favor and go elswehere.

I was put on several medications on the first appointment, and many required testing. My lithium dose was 900mg to start, and she never had my levels tested. I became toxic, was unable to walk, stand, and had severe trouble speaking. She never returned my calls promptly... I had to fax her office, then she told me to quit the meds immediately.. I called my pharmacist and was advised that this could potentially cause severe damage or death. The rule is to always taper off of the medication.
