Dr. George Clayton Branche III, MD

Worst doctors office ever. I was only a billing opportunity to him - not a person. After ordering a “STAT” MRI, it took 3 weeks for him to discuss my partial meniscus tear treatment with me - since it was not an “emergency”. I wouldn’t tolerate this level of accountability from my lawn service - certainly not an MD.

Had a totally messed up shoulder, muscle and tendon tears, debris, nerve compression. Complicated surgery. Following rehab I'm 100% fine, back to playing sports. Dr. Branche is as good as it gets.

Dr. Branch understands individual life experiences and encourages healthy mobility through best possible treatment.

Great surgeon. Healing well. Staff is excellent!

Several years ago under the recommendation of my physical therapist, I drove almost two hours to see Dr Branche. He quickly and correctly diagnosed my knee problem. (For over one year I had been hobbling around on my knee with a misdiagnosis. ) Surgery was very successful and now almost 8 years later having done "something" to my knee - I am scheduling an appointment with great confidence knowing that I will have a correct diagnosis and a repair plan. I do not care how long it takes to travel to his office - he is the best.

Dr. Branche is THE BEST. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. I couldn't recommend him higher. But the serious problem you'll encounter will be with his office staff. Not all of them, of course. The X-ray folks and the assistant who brings you to the exam room, are courteous and helpful. But his office manager, some of the front desk people, his main scheduler, and his physician's assistant will make going to Dr. Branche for care a challenge. First off (I hate to say it) but they are quite rude for no reason. Perhaps I could even say "mean" if you need any help or have questions. There also is a problem in reaching the office, having calls returned, or getting documents you need. My physical therapist, after repeated attempts, was shocked she could not get the documents she needed. I think that's very unfortunate. So ... Dr. Branche is THE BEST. Working with some of his staff will be a very frustrating experience for you. I wish the doctors in that clinic would lay down some boundaries… for their staff in order to keep working there ...

Dr George C Branche III, M.D. is unquestionably among if not THE most no-nonsense, dam-the-torpedoes & full speed ahead, get in there and just gitâ??er done SUPER shoulder surgeons who has ever graced an Operating Room anywhere/anytime. My baseline pain, motion & pain with motion are all 90+ percent improved. But, most of all Dr Branche, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the opportunity to live out my remaining life with my natural shoulder.

I really like this Doc. The director our physical therapy department recommended him and it turned our to be the best thing that could have happened to my shoulder and knee. I had my Rotator cuff repaired and Medial meniscus repaired by him. Both turn out great and I'm no spring chicken. His surgical scheduling is a little slower than they used to be but they are still helpful. His PA was not very nor responsive nor personable. But for me I wanted to have good surgical outcome and he will certainly give you that.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Branches congenial personality and he really took the time to explain things and answer questions patiently. He did not give me a projected timeline for recovery which would have been helpful. As it turned out I required 6 months of rehab and I couldnt sleep on my injured side for 2 years. But he made sure I got all the therapy I needed. It also would have been helpful to know how excruciating and debilitating shoulder surgery is. I was completely bedridden for 2 weeks. My scars are barely noticeable but my shoulder is still weak and vulnerable to strain. Followup visits were with his assistant who was very nice. Also Dr.. Branch recommende the "ice man" which is used to chill the surgery site. This was critical in helping me survive the torturously painful post operative experience. The pain drugs barely took the edge off. One traumatic thing was the physical therapy center wanted to see me the day after surgery to check on mobility or infection or the… sutures or something. Anyway it was so painful to be vertical that I cried when they touched me and they quickly abandoned their plan and sent me home. I think shoulder surgery is probably more painful than childbirth.

Superb visit. I had my shoulder examined for possible arthroscopy. Dr Branche reviewed my MRI, but most importantly, examined my range of motion and asked me personal questions about my pain and limitations. He was very thorough and took time to explain my options given my history. He also took time to answer my questions and concerns. Because of this visit, I have decided to have Dr Branche do my surgery.
