God Bless Dr. D'Giacinto, he is the better! 27 years ago he diagnostic tumor in my brain, today I'm live.

I met with him once. He and his staff did not like me and were rude to me because I was on Metroplus and had low income at one point in my life. Apparently being well-educated though temporarily unemployed and having health issues as a victim of domestic violence warrants one to be stigmatized for the rest of their lives. He ordered me shoulder and neck X-rays which he didn't bother to review with me. He shooed me off in the lobby of the practice and told me in front of other patients and his condescending receptionist, "I can't read shoulder xrays." He also asked a nurse what HSS, the Hospital for Special Surgery, the most prominent surgery hospital in the USA, was.

Fantastic outcome from cervical corpectomy surgery done by Dr. DiGiacinto and Dr. Douglas Cohen at Mt. Sinai West. Can't thank you both enough.

Dr. DiGiacinto always made me feel welcome, listened to me, made me feel comfortable. His manner was relaxed and calming. I always felt I could trust him both as my surgeon and as my medical advisor for spinal problems. My two surgeries were very successful and free of any complications.

I am not a patient who â??needsâ?? a surgery to surviveâ??for me, it is a â??quality of lifeâ?? issue. I have been in constant moderate-to-severe chronic pain for many years now due to cervical spine degeneration at several levels--which has completely derailed the life I once had. Because of this, I have, over the years, sought counsel with at least five other orthopedics or neurosurgeonsâ??but not one of them ever gave me the time and/or information that made me feel I was in a position to make an informed decision regarding having any surgery. Dr. DiGiaCinto is a warm man with a calm demeanor; he is easy to talk to and most importantly, easy to understand. Heâ??s been around for many yearsâ??which is another big PLUSâ??he knows his stuff and has tons of experience to draw from in answering questions. And heâ??s the only surgeon of his caliber I met with who didnâ??t make me feel incredibly rushed. I have had positive dealings/consultations with other neurosurgeons over the… years whom I very much liked and respected and who were very good to meâ??but Dr. DiGiaCinto is by far the easiest to connect with and feel assured by. Now that I have met this doctor, I have a chance to make my own decision about a possible surgery that the odds say could leave me feeling better. And there is NOBODY I have met in whose hands I would rather place my spine--as I have complete confidence in Dr. DiGiaCintoâ??s expertise and ability--mainly because what he says makes so much sense. Also, I was originally referred to Dr. DiGiaCinto by a long-time friend who benefitted greatly when Dr. DiGiaCinto operated on THREE different places in his spine--his neck, his upper back and his lower back. And my friend--who was SO RELUCTANT to have surgery that he put it off for ten years from when the doctors first told him to have it--is happy today that he had the surgeries--and he's getting around without any wheelchair or cane or walker and feeling much better than he did before the surgery. This is very encouraging; it gives me hope and affirms my feelings that Dr. GiaCinto is the surgeon for me.
