Dr. George Gregory Gilbert, MD

I had an appointment for over a month. The day of the appointment, only 3 hours prior to scheduled time, I got a call from Dr. Gilbert’s office telling me they we’re gonna reschedule. I asked to speak with the doctor, I was told that he doesn’t return calls. I find this 100% unacceptable. Dr. Gilbert, If you can keep an appointment with people seeking medical care, maybe you should consider another line of work. You have failed at customer service and caring for your patients.

I have seen Dr. Gilbert since 2005 and have found him to be exceptionally kind, competent, and helpful.

Although the Doctor has his moments of kindness, his staff is short, rude, and inflicts their personal preferences into judgement. To get angry at a sick patient for not being able to drink the nasty liquid prior to a procedure because they are already naseated, is ridiculous. My insurance and payments fund their salaries and they need to learn RESPECT and HUMAN COMPASSION. They are in the wrong career field.

This doctor's office has the only gastric surgeons in town, so you have no choice but to see them or go to Columbus or Montgomery or Birmingham. It is completely evident by the lack of concern for our time that he behaves as though he realizes his corner on the market and makes people feel as if they are lucky to see him. His office called me to see if I could come in early for my appointment by one hour. So I did, and they put me in a room to wait for an entire hour. I left after my original appointment was supposed to start. I suggest making the drive to another city if you need a gastric surgeon.
