Diagnosed problem but no help resolving it and staff very rude and unhelpful in obtaining records

I have been seeing this "Doctor" for approx.. 35 years and back in the day he was thorough in his examinations and caring, boy has that changed. I continued to see him for minor orthopedic issues particularly lower back issues, His practice since grown and on every visit no matter what you complain about he orders X-rays that I am told by other orthopedists are unnecessary. (He owns the x-ray department), after reviewing my x rays he sends me for Physical Therapy (he owns the physical therapy dept.). He then tells you to see him in a week. In the past he didn't order x-rays unless it was necessary and never sent me for physical therapy (he didn't own the physical therapy dept.). He would in the past tell you to see how you feel in a week or so and if you are not feeling well make another appt. MOST OF ALL recently my wife came to see him with an orthopedic issue with her wrist. She came in wearing a wrist band purchased in CVS, He examined her and ordered "X RAYS", told her she… needed "PHYSICAL THERAPY" and told her she must see him in a week. He then said he would "GIVE" her another wrist band. She left and when checking out was told by the receptionist she owed her co-pay. There was no mention of any other charges. We subsequently received a bill for the wrist band for $166.00. I did research and discovered that this wrist band retails from the manufactures for $17.45 and is available on Amazon for less. I INTITALLY COMPLAINED TO THE BILLING DEPARTMETN AND SPOKE WITH A FFEMALE WHO LOWERED THE PRICE TO $25.00. I called to talk with him about it and was told I would need to speak to the office manager (Kim). I spoke with her and without using profanity I would like to state she is awful nasty rude and loud. She refused to let me speak to the Doctor. She said she would speak with him. I called back and spoke with her again and she said the Doctor will not talk to me. Apparently she gave him her version of our conversation which, unknown to her the conversation was recorded. I should have stopped seeing the doctor along time ago as when I have spoken of him with any person that is familiar with him I received the same reaction which is WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU SEE GOLDMARK he is a terrible orthopedist and is just there to make money. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SATY AWAY FROM THIS PERSON

it was just as we had been warned by others. we did not like this egotistical 'doctor'. a self-centered little man. acting above all. did not let me or my daughter talk or respond!!! Save yourself the time. find a better bone surgeon around the area.

I loved these docs, at 1st they came off a little rough w/ bed side manners for therapy part after surgery of an acl bt they mean well . I have full use of my leg again , and am running , dancing as if nothing . Don't let them rush u in pt , do what u can bt work it through.

First of all the office fit us in at the last minute and we only had to wait 20 minutes. And they didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Dr. Goldmark is bright, friendly and very knowledgeable. He had a wonderful manner with my 15 year old son, put him at ease immediately. And he took the time to show us the xrays and explain exactly what was going on. I'm a nurse and somewhat picky about doctors' attitudes. Would definitely recommend Dr. Goldmark!
