Dr. George Carlyle Gourley JR., DO

He placed my IUD without any misoprostol or medication, and I was screaming in pain while he did it. He came in, did the procedure and left. He didn't seem to care about my pain, as if he didn't care about women at all.

He was a very good doctor. Very caring and understanding. He delivered two of my babies and was there for me the whole way. He did my c sections and put me at ease. He was understanding when I had kidney stones during my pregnancy and didn’t belittle me for going into labor and delivery so many times due to very bad pains. He got along well with my family and husband and I really trust him.

I have been going to Dr Gourley for over 12 years; recommended by a trusted colleague. He is caring and wacky and I trust him with my whole heart. He always explains pros and cons and shares personal information to help me make decisions. The only dr I trust and keep going back to.

He was ok during regular visits - a little strange, but fine. But when I was delivering child, I had preeclampsia that was never even diagnosed until I went into labor! I had major complications due to not knowing until then. After he came to see me after the baby was born (he didn't deliver me since I went into labor on a Sunday), he released me from the hospital with a dangerously high blood pressure. I went home and the next day felt like I was going to die, literally. Because of my high blood pressure, I developed pulmonary and heart edema - I couldn't breathe and my head felt like it would explode. I called him that night on his emergency cell and he questioned me as if I was be irrational and stupid. I felt as if I were "bothering" him with my "silly" worries. I felt so small that I hung up, cried and my husband took me to the emergency room. I had to get a blood transfusion and see cardiology specialists to get it resolved. I spent a week in the hospital because he was so… passive about my health. If you see him, just be sure you ask as many questions as you want and don't feel dumb. A brand new mom shouldn't feel disrespected by her own doctor!

Dr. Gourley performed a laparoscopy on me to treat my endometriosis more than 8 years ago. I liked his easy-going manner, and I felt like he cared. After the laparoscopy, I received 6 months of injections of lupron (?) I think, to get rid of any remaining endometriosis. A few months after the lupron, I was finally able to conceive my first child and was able to conceive two more after that!. I just realized that I had never reviewed Dr. Gourley, but I am so thankful for the care that I received from him. I would definitely recommend seeing this doctor.

I love doctor gourley. I had a very tough pregnancy and he was there for me through it all. When I was my worst he would call me everyday to check up on me and was there the entire time I delivered. came in early and stayed through it all, didn't just come and catch my baby.I would recommend him every time.

He is all about the money! Very dispointed in this bed side mannor and how freely he shares his lifestyle. He is a older doctor stuck in his ways and acts as if he is 20. What I wanted done and what I got done were not the same. When questioned him about my problems I got told it was all in my head.. LOVELY! Worst mistake in my life was letting him treat me.

I really like Dr. Gourley. He really cares about helping me with my infertility issues. He spends as much times as he needs with me. I would recomment any one to him because I have had a lot of really good experiences with him.

Dr. Gourley was recommended by 2 friends, so obviously some people like him, but I found him to be very unempathetic. He didn't really seem to care much about my concerns & seemed like he just wanted to get the job done & be out of there. I often had to wait a long time. One time I was there for over 90 minutes & was about to leave when he showed up. I'm changing doctors this time.
