Dr. George B Holmes, MD

Originally I had written a great review for this doctor. Unfortunately, I later learned that he breached HIIPA Law by releasing my medical results without my consent to Nancy Green (who work and/or worked for the University of Chicago Medical Center Worker Comp Dept.), and he would no longer talk to me. I was utterly shocked by his unethical medical behavior and practices, and disappointed by his betrayal.

Finally a doctor who knows what he is doing!! Dr Holmes was able to find the problem with my foot that previously 2 other doctors (outside of Rush) were unable to find. He listened and showed compassion when I explained my problem. Now 5 weeks post op and confident I will be 100%!! Visits are on time and never have to wait. Everyone in the office including his assistant is professional and personable! Would highly recommend Dr. Holmes!

Dr. Holmes was the surgeon that gave me back my life. I had two previous surgeries from another Orthopedic surgeon that weren't done correctly. Dr. Holmes took the chance and fixed the proper way. I am now walking again! Love this man!!!

First appointment was smooth, second not. He seemed out of it or just trying to get me out of the office since its a workers comp claim (insurance doctor?) I was informed he hadnt reviewed my scans yet upon going into the cast room to have my temporary casts removed. He also seemed very wishy washy and when asked what his professional opinion was, i felt brushed aside with a middle of the road answer, all he said was its borderline for surgery. It did not inspire confidence at all.

Dr. Holmes thoughtfully and compassionately listened to my concerns. He then outlined a plan of care that included both conservative and surgical options that will be based on exam and imaging. He even provided artwork (impressive sketches of potential surgical intervention)!! Dr. Holmes answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. I am very pleased that I chose Dr. Holmes to take care of/manage my ankle issues.

Dr. Holmes was a very nice guy who is honest and to the point and I liked how he thoroughly explained everything to me about my upcoming surgery he seems like a very knowledgeable nice doctor.

Hes a workers comp. Doc. He will lie to your face and his repot will be 100% false from what he tells you. I had to take him to court. When I called a lawyer,,,,He already knew about him and so do judges.I dont know how he is able to practice.

I guess as I read on people might have their own reasons for such low ratings. Wait times and bunch of attacks on his character when it comes to insurance. I'm here to talk about his service and knowledge. Dr. Holmes is one of the best in the world. People travel from all around the world to see him. When I heard that I can see why. I had two screws placed in my fibula. I am currently in the process of healing and couldn't be happier with the outcome after surgery. I'm not at 100% percent yet but can move my foot and see that it's coming along just fine. After having conversations with Dr. Holmes I realized he is not only a world class surgeon but a down to earth funny individual as well. Honestly couldn't be happier to have chosen him as my surgeon.

Do not waste your time and money like I did!....Six months of appointments, nothing done, no action taken by this dr when I was in constant pain......went to two other drs afterwards for opinions, both had immediate diagnosis----NEEDS SURGERY! NOW!
