Dr. G Dennis Horvath, DO

I recently got a third opinion on the TKR Dr. Horvath performed, and I'm convinced he operated on me unnecessarily. Now my knee won't bend more than 90 degrees and I can't do many of the things I could before. He did not properly take into account a previous surgery on the same knee. AVOID

I received a knee replacement through DR.G, DENNIS HORVATH, OD while he was still with Kaiser Permanente in Ventura, CA on or about 3/11/2011. During the surgery I lost approximately 6 units of blood. This was not my first major surgery. After the surgery I felt very ill and weak A few days after the surgery I was sent to Shoreline recovery center. Several days after I had arrived at Shoreline I was told that an ambulance was there, at Shoreline, to return me to COMMUNITY MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEM IN VENTURA, CA because "there is something wrong with your blood." That was the first time I was informed that I had an issue with my blood. I was told my a nurse at CMH when I was returned to the hospital that I had lost approximately one half of my blood during the surgery. I had seen Dr Horvath previously to that while in was in hospital and nothing had been told to me by Horvath or anyone at CMH about my blood loss.. In my opinion the fact that I had not been informed of my severe loss… of blood after the surgery and had not been treated for such put my health at severe risk.

I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Horvath, I have also recommended my family to him on several occasions. He is a great Ortho Doc, and he was also one of the best Doc's i have ever worked with. Very kind and considerate to pts and staff and his skills are the best.

Not only was a patient of Dr. Horvaths while he was in Orlando, Fl, I was also an employee of his. I have never worked for such an amazing Doctor that was loved and adored by ALL his patients and staff. His reputation as a person and doctor are and always will be amazing.
