Dr. George Alexander Jenkins, MD

Dr.George is rude and disrespectful to his patients.. He shows no empathy or sympathy towards patients .nor does he follow the Hippocratic Oath

After I had to visit the ER due to the throat discomfort, the office of Dr. Jenkins quickly made an appointment for me ahead of the one that had already been scheduled. This was followed by an endoscopy a couple of weeks later to determine the stage of my GERD. He informed me that I had a mild case of Barrett's esophagus. To try to deal with the issue, he placed me on Nexium. The staff has been very courteous and helpful, and they all seem to know what they are doing. But how am I supposed to know how to judge them otherwise? The use of Nexium has been of little help, if any, and I am in need of trying to find some other solution since his approach has lead to no results. He is not one of those doctor's who believes in surgical intervention, and to tell the truth, I don't like the idea either. I don't even like the idea of taking pills. But I know that if I do not take further action this is going to lead to bigger problems. To that end, I informed the office of Dr.… Jenkins that I was considering a second opinion from someone who engages in performing certain surgeries, like RFA therapy. They told me to go ahead and contact whomever I chose and that they would forward my records. I gave Dr. Jenkins a three on "accurate diagnosis" because I am unable to judge that at present. And I also gave him a three on "spends time with me" because he really did not spend a lot of time with me, but I can't say that spending any more time would have been of any consequence.

Went in for a screening colonoscopy. No one returned my calls and the office staff was extremely rude. The doctor has one concern- and that is to make money. Very obvious. Rushed in and out. All about money..

I went to see dr. jenkins for abdominal pain and all he was interested in was performing both a colonoscopy and an egd. Once both procedures were done, he showed no interest in my pain and provided no solutions. Only interested in making money.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's before moving to the Columbia area. I was referred to Dr. Jenkins by co-workers and decided to give him a try. Unless you have a pre-exhisting GI disorder you may not value having a really great relationship with your GI. I awoke during a colonoscopy and asked him to stop he instead pushed my down and continued the procedure while I was awake! I was basically left traumatized afterwards and because of this would not recommend him to anyone especially any female or a person who knows that they have a true GI disorder that needs attention. He also tried to tell me that he thought I should be treated for acid reflux which I have never had and took the course of treatment away from my true issue which was keeping my Crohn's in remission which if you have Crohn's that becomes a very high top priority. Do not risk your health with this cold hearted Dr. I hope he develops Crohn's himself and enjoys his life taking money from sick people. Horrible person, can't say… enough bad things about him.

HAVE BEEN SICK FOR MONTHS BUT WAS TREATED LIKE I WAS THERE FOR A ROUTINE CHECK UP. TOTALLY UNSATSIFIED.

Dr. George Jenkins was a truly nice guy. I was even able to come back in after a colonoscopy that I felt might have gone wrong and side effects of Suprep. He could not find anything and after I asked him about acid reflux, he said that this is probably what is causing the aftertaste of the medicine in my mouth and nausea a week after the colonscopy. As the for the stomach tenderness, dizziness, and extreme fatigue, there is just no known cause. He has said that no one that he has treated has ever had a reaction to this medicine. Well, I guess that I am the first. Hopefully, please check--if there is an inkling of a stomach problem, please do not take Suprep. I have had a horrendous experience. The Dimerol knocked me out. I could not hold my head up for a while. I had never experience anything like this before as this is my second colonscopy. Even if it is acid relux. I really needed to know about the other symptoms, as the Suprep causes so many adverse reactions.
