Dr. Leach earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Leach is board-certified in emergency medicine and also served as an assistant professor in the emergency departments at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown and Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Leach has won several awards as a teacher, including the PGY-3 Clinical Teacher of the Year Award and PGY-3 Outstanding Achievement in Resident Research Award in 2010 from Emory University School of Medicine and PGY-3 Outstanding Achievement in Resident Research Award in 2009, also from Emory. Dr. Leach has also served as an advocate for many causes, including the Candlelight Vigil for the Uninsured, ACEP …Legislative and Advocacy Conference, Georgia Statewide Trauma Action Team and Georgia College of Emergency Physicians. He has been published several times for his research and has given multiple presentations on emergency medicine topics.
