Dr. George Liu, MD

I broke my heel bone(calcaneus) about one year ago. Dr. Liu was very patient with me and all of my questions. I needed surgery and two screws to help my heel bone heal property. Dr. Liu did a wonderful job, my foot is completely healed now and I'm back to running and hiking with no pain at all. He is a skilled surgeon and kind doctor, I would whole-heartedly reccomend him to anyone needing foot surgery! His whole staff at UTSW were kind and helpful.

I suffered a Tib Fib pilon fracture of my left leg. Went to one hospital after the injury and they said it was too severe for them to attempt to fix. We went to UTSW and luckily Dr. Liu was available. He did surgery on a Sunday night, plating and screwing my leg together. 7 months later I have full function of my leg and ankle, can hike and walk normally and I have my life back. Minimal scarring, no complications and excellent pain control. Dr. Liu is caring, funny and very, very good. I highly recommend him.

After seeing other doctors with no positive results, I went to see Dr. Liu. He listened, spent as much time as I needed, and explained everything he was doing in great detail. I feel like I’m going to get my life back for the first time in over a year. His staff is so polite and cheerful as well.

its been roughly 2 yrs since I had calcanous surgery. Many of days I ever wondered if my foot would feel normal again. I finally can say that Dr liu has me back at 98% of what my foot was like before my accident. Im so thankful to him for his excellent skills and his help.

I had this condition for many years and was causing significant discomfort. Dr. Liu successfully repositioned and restored my peroneal tendon dislocation. I came to Dr. Liu after a gunshot wound destroyed a good portion of my right foot. The outlook was leaning more towards amputation but Dr Liu told me he would do what he can to save it and I can thankfully say that his surgeries were a huge success! It has been 6 months since my last surgery and I am walking, running, and learning how to jump again. I am thankful for everything he has done to help!
