Dr. George Thomas Lloyd, MD

DR llyod not only changed my life but he saved my life. He is an excellent substance abuse Dr. Who will call you out on your bull sh** .but that's what many people need and other doctors won't do that. It's been a very successful 13 years and I can not thank this Dr enough for the approach he takes with his clients. It works if you work it.

For those leaving negative reviews, it's obvious you didn't take sobriety completely serious. I've been going to Dr. Lloyd for years and I've never seen him get angry at a patient for no reason. The only time he does get tough with people is when he sees through your lies or your tests come back dirty. He was tough with me at first but I'll admit I needed it at that time. You have to earn his trust and respect and that's only done with hard work and honesty. The insults made about the staff too just makes it apparent that the people leaving the negative comments were angry because they were apparently caught in their lies and are looking to vent their anger at the people who caught them. The Doctor and his staff have and always were wonderful to me. They literally treat me like family now and I honestly credit Dr. Lloyd with saving my life. He gave me my life back and because of him, myself and my family are in a great place. But be warned if you think you can lie to him or continue… your addict behaviors and get away with it....he will see right through that and no he will not "baby" you nor should he have to. For the people who left the negative comments....When you're ready to really take sobriety seriously then go back to Dr. Lloyd, until then keep going to some other Dr. who cares more about just collecting your money than your sobriety.

anyone on here that says he is ignorant and calls them names is doing 1 of 2 things you are either trying to force feed him some bull story that he has heard 100 times about why your urine has opiates or benzoes or some other drug that you are not supposed to be using while you take suboxone. or you are the person that comes in there and just lies about everything right to his face you guys talk about how you can hear him yell at other people through the thin walls well you dont think someone can hear you talk all that bull in the waiting area and then you go in with some sob story that is totally different. dr lloyd is the only doctor out there that cares if you live or die when it comes to opiat addiction he is a little harsh the first time but only to see how serious you are. look i hear people complain all the time in the waiting room about how long they have to wait to see the doctor well guess what you know that if it was there drug dealer makeing them wait they would have no… problem. basically if you want a doctor that will help you continue to use and one that will listen to all your bull than go somewhere else. but if you want help and you are serious go to dr george lloyd

I empathize with all of the "legit" reviewers on this site. This man is so harsh and unpleasant. Rude and condescending don't even begin to describe him. Pile on top the disregard for patient confidentiality and every violation HIPPA would ever frown upon, and have Dr. Lloyd. The entire female staff he employs are equally inadequate (at least the veterans are, I am sure many newbies get out quick.) The treatment I deserved there was appalling. This man acts as if you are wasting his time, and that he is bored. Calls you names, and you know everyone hear, because we can all hear when he is calling others names! Thin walls, running back & forth between patients in no apparent order. It I just a mess. He needs to look into the mirror.

I would say i thought he was great but noooooooooooooo way he is mentally abusive non prof. and very rude, he will trick you into thining he is nice and cares - he does not!!!!I gave him benifit of his yelling down the hall ok someone had a bad daynooooooooooooohe will take you down mentally abuse you, he does not know much about addiction and if he is nice just wait he will get you too- he will make you cry when you have not done anything at all!!!!you have been warned have a great day and find another dr. i have never in my life seen the way this dr. treat you.....

i had an appt with dr lloyd 1st thing this morning...i waited 2 and a half hours just to go back into an office and wait another half hour for the dr...he asked me about my past drug use and i explained, he asked to see my arms and i showed him, he asked when the last time i used suboxone was and i was honest. i had a script bc i was seeing another dr until their office burnt down and they dropped 100 of their patients, myself included, well i guess i forgot to tell him that yes, i f*cked up this month and took a half of 1 or an extra whole 1 throughout a few days this month bc i was dropped from a practice i was going to for over a year bc of a freak accident on their part and i had no idea how to go about getting another dr. so i was SUPER stressed out (i have NEVER done that before) and i thought "thank god i found dr lloyd" BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!! he was the MOST ignorant dr, no the MOST ignorant MAN i have EVER met in my ENTIRE life! he called me a junkie and said that i didnt want… to get help...i have been clean for over 2years now, thanks to suboxone and treatment but when he said all that stuff about me honestly all i wanted to do is go get high!!!! if he woulda asked me if i had f*cked up and took more then i was prescribed i TRUTHFULLY woulda told him, and he NEVER even gave me a chance to tell him before he started yelling at me and calling me a junkie and telling me to "just get up and leave right now" after driving almost 2hrs to come see him, in a BLIZZARD, he still had the audacity to tell me that i wasnt deserving of his care or compassion. he then questioned me on why i didnt currently have a drivers license, as if its ANY of his business in the 1st place and asked me if my boyfriend was a desperate junkie like me...i was SOOO appalled by what he was saying to me, and with other patients just feet away! i was bawling in his office and he pretty much told me to suck it up and quit trying to put on a show! who exactly was i trying to "put on a show" for?! i dont respect this man AT ALL, he has NO compassion for other HUMAN BEINGS and if he doesnt care about others then WHY THE F*CK is he even a doctor?! he is NOT my father so his personal questions were WAY too innappropriate and the way he talked to me was DISCUSTING! everytime i said "i think i should just go" bc of the way he was putting me down and making me feel like the BIGGEST piece of sh*t in the WHOLE world, i felt like i shouldnt be hearing this from ANYBODY, especailly a man who is suppose to be "helping" me, he would say "dont you want your script?! you wont get it if you just leave!" and hold up my prescription paper...that is SO childish! i should've NEVER stayed and shoulda just stormed outta there but knowing how mad and upset i was i do believe i woulda went right into using again and i have WAY too much to lose to even slip ONCE...but yes he is a VERY cold hearted individual and should NOT have a medical license, let alone his OWN practice! he needs to take a lesson in compassion and stop thinking that everybody is out for a "quick fix" like he told me i was trying to get. I am VERY discusted by his manners, or lack thereof. and i can not wait to find another dr to put him behind me and NEVER have to worry about seeing him again!

DR. LLOYD is a very smart man who appreciates honesty. If you really want to stop using this is the doctor for you! It may not be the easiest route but it's evidence based recovery and he does what works. You will most likely be required to attend Intensive Outpatient Recovery which I dreaded signing up for but I am so thankful i did because there is a huge healing benefit to group therapy and at the beginning of treatment it will keep you occupied and focused, you will also be required to attend AA or NA and record your attendance. I was always treated like a human being and he took the time to address concerns and spent considerable time one on one with me. Do it if you have the desire to quit using just call and talk to them i have been clean since 02 - 2012 and am weaning off and excited for a natural life without drugs and i never thought id be able to give drugs up. I am becoming a better person interested in health and wellness and i honestly respect Dr.Lloyd for his… dedication to helping people realize their potential.

The few times that I could even stand to go there was horrible. He calls everybody liars including myself...Yet i was telling the truth the whole time. He had no compassion at all and was immature! He brought up my boyfriend just because the way he was dressed...said he didnt work and called him a druggie, and no hes not. Hes the one who wanted me to get help. That really pushed my buttons. I couldve punched him in his face!! I recommend not going here unless you're really desperate. He also said he's the only doctor that would help me....nope sure wasnt...i found a great doctor in a different area that was way more compassionate and professional. Oh and not to mention Dr. Lloyds staff seemed like they were all high on something...not professional!!! Bunch of losers.

If u go to him he helps u just listen to his word of advise don't lie to him and just do wat he tells you to Also his daughter is very kind

I have to say this dr. was great, I dont know what spoils him some times but he needs to b more understanding with mental health- see we as human biengs need some compasson we do not need constant put down and not believing what u try and tell him. I had a bad abcess tooth, i remember him telling me to let the other dr. know what u r taking- no im the liar and i came here because i wanted help???my feelings were crushed when he didnt take the time to litsen to me was i lying no i was not and i like that he is helping us all but why cant he just say im trying to help not put u down?? please great dr. have understanding give a little encouragement-let it go, some kind caring words-PLEASE DR. LLOYD TRY TO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CUTTING WORDS OF WISDOM PLEASE. WE R ALL TRYING TO GET BETTER NOT WORSE- THANKS A SPECIAL SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT THIS GREAT DR.
