Dr. George Robert Lyons, MD

I was referred to Dr Lyons after a coiling for a ruptured brain aneurysm. Both appointments he did quick little ‘tests’ to see if I could touch my nose and stand on one foot. Very degrading... especially when I spoke about my concerns. He blew them off, said I was fine and it was all in my head. Five years later and I still have the same concerns. He is a waste of time. Keep looking... and good luck.

This was our first visit with Dr. Lyons, we were very satisfied with his professionalism and we look forward to future visits concerning my husband's Parkinsons.

I have seen a neurologist a few years ago for a very rare condition. my symptoms have started to progress so my regular physician referred me to Dr. Lyons to get a second opinion or to see if maybe he has more knowledge on the condition that I have. After trying several weeks to make an appointment I was finally able to reach an actual person on the phone. The lady was very rude to me and before she would make an appointment asked what the nature of my appointment was. I told her about my condition and she said Sorry he can't help you, no one in Idaho can you need to find someone else and hung up. I was in disbelief that someone could be so unprofessional!

I can't get the staff to call me back about my medication so I had to have my primary doctor refill my medication. I continue to call and no one will call me back. Congratulations...I am now getting seizures. Is anybody there. Do you even care? I need a neurologist and a staff that gets back to me, this unfortunately is not the place.

Saw Dr. Lyons yesterday and I have nothing but praise about his bedside manner, kindness, concerns, and professional services. I would recommend him to anyone. The staff was great friendly, kind and caring and courteous. Did not encounter any problems with my appointment.

If you want a doctor who listens to your symptoms, DO NOT go to Dr. Lyons. He is so dismissive by first glance of you before even hearing your voice. This was after only four years of "graduation" of Pennsylvania. He is a doctor FLOATING by and NOT out for his patients health. He said, he would "get me an MRI to get me off the back of the medical community". After explaining to him, he was my last hope. I also would like to add, I MYSELF basically convinced him to give me this MRI, because deep inside I knew something was wrong. If you took the time to read this review, please know that this man is "NOT INTO HELPING HIS PAITIENT AND IS A TERRIBLE LISTENER". After the MRI that I requested MYSELF, the results of the MRI showed...ARNOLD CHAIARI MALFORMATION, which is very rare. Then, and only then was he interested.

I stood at a window for 5 minutes waitnig for a receptionist. The window was marked check-in/check-out. Apparently they have two, we had to walk around and figure that out for ourselves. i filled out the paper work which took 4 minutes. The last page was office policy. In the event disability papers need to be filled out it is a $20.00 fee. I let the receptionist know I thought that should be included in the already high price I was paying to see the doctor. She came back and told me I the doctor wouldn't see me and I should go to another doctor in the valley, which is what I would recommend anyone considering this doctor or the others in this office! There are many caring, kind doctors in this valley...the doctors in this office are not among them take your business else where!

Horrible experience, Awful staff, very rude, inconsiderate, demeaning, and unpleasant. Would never return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dreadfully out of touch with current information of a medical nature. Contradicted many known medical facts. Seemed like he would have been more correct with his ideas about 10 or 20 years ago. Office is old, run down, and disorganized. Building needs a remodel. Bad experience completely.

I have been seeing Dr. Lyons for 8 years and he has been unable to treat my chronic migraines. I have had two emergencies this summer with three to four day long attacks and he has been too busy to fit me in to see me. Also, when I was alerted by my pharmacy that two of the medications he prescribed for my treatment could potentially cause a life threatening disease or cause a stroke, he blew it off and said I should keep taking the medications until I came in to see him. Then he preceeded to postpone my next appointment twice. He was very negative about trying alternatives to relieve my chronic pain such as massage therapy and just increased my medications. I am certain he is the right doctor for some people but he wasn't for me.
