Dr. George M Mantikas, DDS

Dr. Mantikas' poor quality dental work led to thousands of dollars in dental expenses for my family. He has on multiple occasions overlooked cavities which led to root canals and crowns. The crowns are almost always poorly fit causing additional bite problems and decay to adjacent teeth. He failed to properly test for adequate bone before performing an extraction and dental implant which went on to fail. He missed serious dental decay in a young child leading to numerous cavities and root canals. His cosmetic work was very poor quality with multiple issues of vaneers falling off, breaking and crumbling. Although he is able to put on a smile when he enters the room do not let that replace quality dental care. Always remember to check a medical provider's license status through the department of public health to see what complaints they have against them. If you see 2 or 3 there are likely many more that were not reported.

For five years, I was happy with this dentist. Then three of the crowns he installed came out and his office overlooked a serious cavity next to one of them. Finally they dismissed a problem with a tooth that eventually had to be extracted. My unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses will be well into the thousands. Perhaps he has lost local focus, taking a week a month at his Florida practice.

Every filling he did for me and my family members got cavities underneath them. There's no way we can brush under a filling! Do not recommend him AT ALL. I wish we had learned sooner that he was horrible. It would have saved us all so many dental issues down the road.

I went Dr. Mantikas for a number of years. This guy is crown happy. Every time I went he wanted to put another crown in my mouth.He ignored cavities and waited to address tem when they needed a crown and the crowns he put in were garbage. Constent problems with them ,poor fit,porceline breakage,falling out on numerous times and on and on. I finally went to an other dentis and it took him a better part of a year to square away my teeth from this incompentant dentis!!! If you care about your teeth stay away from this crook, if you don't you'll learn. I am giving him 1 star for an overall rating because this review will not let me give none

Dr mantikas is great! His staff is friendly and his office is beautiful. He takes the time to meet and get to know each new patient at your first appointment. He is always friendly and uses the most modern technology. His staff informed me at my last visit (while we were chatting) that dr mantikas requires his staff to stay up to date with continuing education. My wife and I highly recommend Dr. Mantikas

Dr Mantikas put a bridge in my mouth, which did not fit correctly, was too tight.Within the first year, part of the porcelain started to chip off. I went in to see him, he told me it was fine, nothing to worry about.More pieces chipped off, exposing the almost the entire crown. He said he could not guarantee a bridge for more than 5 years, even though it started falling apart the first year. He said he has no record of me coming in the first time. He was very rude and dismissive, stood behind me with his back turned,while speaking to me.While I did not expect him to put in a new bridge for free, I thought he might be able to come up with a compromise that would be fair.This kind of dental work is very expensive, you would think for those prices, you would not get shoddy work done. I am going to another dentist to get my brigde repaired.
