Dr. George M Mathew, MD

Many times he came to my hospital room for under 1 minute as he was already in the hospital. He was there just so he could charge medicaid. He orders very expensive tests which are not needed. He does not answer questions why the tests are ordered or what were the results. He has NO bedside manner, He is arrogant in the extreme if you ask any question. Avoid - much better in the area. He also had massive bypass for his own heart - did not diagnose his own heart disease.

Dr. Mathews has saved my moms life several times he is just wonderful and truly cares for his patients you do not see that around anymore. Your the Best Dr. Mathews!!

My husband & I have been going to Dr. Mathew for almost 18 years. We both have multiple heart problems and have been extremely satisfied with his care. He is a pro-active doctor and has always requested testing when it was necessary to prevent problems and takes the time to explain any questions we might have.

Graduated non-US medical school in 1963, residency at GWU ended in 1968, fellowship also at GWU ended in 1970. Last board certification taken was in 1975. Horrible bedside manner. Very test-happy, all of which are referred to other practioners, which adds time to getting a diagnosis. Advice: find someone else.
